[QUOTE="Phazevariance"][QUOTE="WillieBeamish"]PSN is equal in service to XBL only to PS3 fanboys who don't have a clue how smooth & feature rich XBL is.All_that_is_Man
This is true. They read about features and think its the same, but if they were to actually sit for a week and really try it out, they would find its pretty stable and smoooooth and fast.
Both are the same in stable smooth and fast........They are peer to peer ......they run off the host of the game buddy....nothing special about xbl except Cross game chat and invites....
Cross game chat is the winner their thats why xbl is superior
I actually have more problems with xbl than psn.....everytime their is a update on xbl for like 3 days it will be buggy no matter what game you play
Actually, SOCOM servers are all dedicated. Seth Luisi, Director of SOCOM confirmed it in the private beta when he played with the testers. If the host leaves, there is no "finding new host" or anything like that, nothing happens. When a server is created, it is run off of the Slant Six servers.
What happened on the first day of SOCOM had nothing to do with PSN. PSN has seperate servers for games, and other service features. The game servers for SOCOM were being overloaded because of the amount of people trying to get on at once. Common. Call of Duty 4 had this, followed by a "Downloading Game Data" glitch for months and months. Grand Theft Auto IV had this for both consoles also, where the online would lag a lot, or where Rockstar had to close the servers for a period of time. Halo 3 required XBL to to a maintenance (something like that from what I remember). To sum it up, I just got off SOCOM. It's running smooth right now. The server overloads have been fixed. It was just one day. It had nothing to do with PSN. Both XBL and PSN suffer from this.
