Just something I would like to point out to lemmings

you keep saying how the ps3 is flopping and all that but the fcat is the 9 million console lead you had in nov is now down to about 7 or 8 million. when xbox launch the ps2 had a 10 million lead and the gap never really closed so if the ps3 is flopping yet still managing to get closer to the 360 that means the 360 isn't really doing that well console sales wise. I won't argue its game library has proven itself but Ms still has a problem of selling outside north america and that will hurt them in the end.

Just so the sheep don't think I'm forgetting them I will state I believe the Wii will win this gen if it can get a steady supply of good games during its life. I see the ps3 eventually surpassing the 360 because of its stronger worldwide base and maybe even passing the wii if the games don't come and sales slow but with the pace nintendo is at now it will not be until much later in the generation before the ps3 passes it if at all.

Its also been out an entire year longer. going by gamespot the ps2 has the best games...see how easy that was. at the end of this console cycle I will guarentee that the ps3 will have just as many if not more high scoring games here on gamespot as the 360. thats what I buy a console for it whole lifecycle not the first 17 months or so.

The point of the post was to show you that the head start the have been bragging about has not been as effective as ps2 head start and with the wii selling a t a torrid pace as well as the ps3 slowly closing the gap its pretty hard to imagine the 360 being on top for very long. doesn't mean its a bad system but just pointing it out the lemmings to bring them back to earth.

hardware wise it is. I'm not talking about graphics as they are pretty close in that but the blu-ra, hdmi support, bluetooth support, memory stick support, and psp connectivity are all reasons as to why the ps is superior from a hardware standpoint

I really don't mind who wins this generation, because everyone will be able to play good games. So game on people, and if someone doesn't support your console who frickin cares. You don't pay to play it.

I love it how I can pay for extra stuff I'll never use. 

I don't know, If MGS4 doesn't do too well, they may be permanently wounded. Don't get me wrong, I loved MGS3,  and I like splinter cell just as much, but If they screw it up, there won't be anymore life boats for a while. BUT, there are tons of good multiplats coming out for 360 and PS3, And before everyone starts screaming " Multiplats aren't matter, no system sell, No excluso!" Can't you honestly say that its fun to play multiplats. So even if you don't get much in the way of exclusives, you can still have fun with Madden and Splinter Cell. Also, you have exlusive features, such as tilt controls, BD disks, and the possibility to play games through the web browser. So while the PS3 isn't everyones fav, it isn't the huge flop everone says it is. BTW, Idon't even own a PS3, only a 360. I just would like to see some rational thinking.

PS3: Good for people who want some of the innovation of the wii ( tilt sensing) but a high end technical experience, such as the HD output and native 1080p Res, and want to be HD ready, with the HDMI output and Blu-ray reader

Wii: for people who like to have "crazy-zany" fun, who have people over on a regular basis, and a new way to play.

360: Good for  those who want a good, traditional gaming experience, with the media center abilities of the PS3, and want a fun online experience.
