Specs? And before you enter I already can answer: "No...it can't."
I get 55ish FPS on BF3 with 2 580m SLI. I cannot play Crysis 3 on ultra; only on high. Metro 2033 also struggles at 30ish FPS and dips into the 20s at times.
As to the other poster who asked why i haven't upgraded my current system. Good question. I could upgrade (financially) to the 680m SLI and also the CPU to an XM. However, I will make MORE money by selling my current system. AW hold their value very well.
It's a sad myth on these forums about AW users. If ANY of you actually went to NBR and saw the OC'ing and customizatoin we do with our machines, you would know quite quickly how MUCH the enthusiasts know and then basically quiet down on how "stupid" it is to buy these notebooks.
Granted, again, the desktops are NOT the best products to purchase. I can't imagine many people even buy them anymore as they are starting to even cater to casuals with their small "tiki-like" systems.
I think more people on here talk about "custom PC gaming rigs" without actually having built them. It's actually quite a pain after awhile. They sell for crap on ebay. And when sockets change....that creates a problem. Add in the time to RMA and manually troubleshoot each problem...it becomes more work for some people.
I am appreciative of people with 4k desktop configs: hexacore, Titan SLI, 3 1600p monitors etc. That's definitely more power than the money I put into notebook gaming. However, I just enjoy notebook gaming better. I have a sectional sofa at my OWN place (sorry mommy and daddy don't support me) and I prefer to have the comfort of laying on the sofa and gaming on the couch. Just preference. Plus I like the general mobile technology and follow it more. There is something very satisfying about moding these PCs. My tastes have just changed.
As it stands, this computer is a beast. For those that endulge this system, it will be an awesome experience. For those enjoying gaming on other rigs....that's cool too. Whatever gets you happiness. But to think that this is "throwing money away"....educate yourself before making the same old SW casual and uninformed statements. Go to NBR and see the benchmark threads and the OC'ing threads and how people mod these things first......
In b4 "AW is overpriced POS." That's their desktops bros. No other manufacturer offers the overall build quality, components and aesthetics of AW in the notebook line...at the prices they go for (mostly after 20% discounts). The only rivals are SAGERsDave_NBFlol you gotta be joking.
