Kanye's only good album that you could put on repeat was Graduation. The only album with quantity of quality records but again when you listen to the lyrics most of them don't mean shit, his beats and flow carries his records. Eminem's on another level because in every album there are at least 5 quality records with lyrics, wordplay and flow most rappers envy him for it, thats why he is labeled the best from so many rappers in their interviews and not only from average joes like us.

And Kanye's latest stuff? he's fucking obnoxious, I can't force myself to listen to him anymore, the other day I watched the Grammys and every singer was killing it that day, Sam Smith was killing it then immediately after he finished, the next act was Kanye West, he appears with Rihanna i said ok thats normal maybe rihanna will sing the chorus and Kanye starts rapping then fucking Paul McCartney shows up with them to sing a song, then after that Kanye starts singing with his autotune mic next to Paul fucking McCartney infront of all the real singers.

I mean how disrespectful of him for the art to appear like that? The song was good until Kanye opened his mouth, now I go to Youtube and I want to listen to it but the moment I remember Kanye is in it I can't click the play button.

One last bullet point that will always be a deciding factor when comparing rappers, Eminem actually raps hard, Kanye raps for fashion and corny stuff like that, he couldn't be hard even if he wanted to.

Another thing, Eminem actually is better right now, Recovery sounds better and actually had more meaning and more variety than his past albums, don't forget his Bad Meets Evil album if you want to go pure rap and lyricism and it was released in 2011.

To say that Recovery sounded better than his past albums is lunacy. Recovery sounded gross. Ugly pop hooks and some of the weakest, corniest beats of his career.

And lyrics like this:

And then he sampled Haddaway of all people. So hard lol. Might as well have sampled Aqua.

It's actually a melodically great and kind of euphoric ultra gay 90s dance song. Not even hating. But that doesn't mean that sampling it was a good idea.

If Saints Row is any indication it needs to be used more. Besides I don't remember the track, but I doubt sampling it was the real issue as much as Marshall couldn't come up with something interesting to do with it. Where as using Aerosmith for Sing for the Moment was terrific.

Agreed that Sing for the Moment is an excellent use of a sample. One of Eminem's most moving songs.

Whatever the reason, the Haddaway sample comes off terribly and is another reminder that Eminem's version of poppy rap sounds ugly and joyless.

In any case, it makes no fucking sense for @HAZE-Unit to critisize Kanye for not being hard but then praise Recovery as Em's magnum opus, especially when Yeezus is about a million times "harder" than Recovery. Yeezus is a dark fucking album.

Damn.

Even people's opinions on Hip-Hop here is terrible.

Edit: I hate to take a side of someone that runs around the forum touting Lupe Fiasco as GOAT, but there it is.

Game sounds terrible though, the interactive game+music was already done by Bjork and I think Lady Gaga also tried it too. They did like an interactive game were the interactions changed the music, whatever Kanye is doing sound extremely cheesy and cheap.

College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, MBDTF and Yeezus are great. I'm not keen on the auto tuned mic crooning that make up 808s and his Paul McCartney and Sia tracks, hopefully he has more to offer on the new album.
