I see you all sitting back saying the cloud is not possible, its never going to work, how do you know? NVIDIA GRID is doing whole games with just 109 gpus together streaming from ENGLAND to CALI, THESE ARE WHOLE GAMES PEOPLE I think you all really need to check out their videos on the GRID and then tell me offloading is not possible on the cloud. MS is doing moving forward with the rest of the industry and sony still playing catchup.

you're a dumbass.

WHEN in the future? I can assure you that it sure as shit won't be this gen of gaming. Not the standard. We can't even get this sort of internet required for online gaming (far more demanding than loading simple web pages, mind you) across our own entire country. It will be YEARS before we can even think of making it a reality and this still won't include many countries and locations across the globe. It costs a shit ton of money to create the kind of infrastructure for places that have nothing and upgrading certainly isn't cheap either.

Hell, I live not too far away from a big city, but despite hearing promises of fiber optic internet over 5 years ago, they still have nothing to offer us here and won't for the foreseeable future.

Cloud will require only small packets of internet data, remember the Xbox One chip is probably stacked it has Local Cloud aswell that barely needs internet data.

but you will probably think im crazy, thats fine.

Local Cloud power comes from the console itself, Internet Cloud from the ethernet obvious.

Xbox One has both.. :)

If you're gonna make a post about the cloud, at least do some research on the difference between Cloud Streaming vs. Cloud Assisted Processing. Nvidia Grid is basically Cloud Sreaming, like OnLive. All the hardware is on the server side. You're basically only streaming the information from the server. The Xbox One does the primary rendering on your local hardware, not on the server. It's an 'either / or' situation. You either render on the server entirely, or on your hardware entirely. Processors separated by the internet cannot work together for graphics processing because the internet latency cannot keep up with processor operations.

You're comparing the loading of social website pages with the streaming of frames for game? And if it's the future, what happened to OnLive? Are you also forgetting that OnLive only streams games at 720p? There's a reason for that - internet speed. Streaming frames at 1920x1080 simply requires too high a speed for most people. And we're not even talking about 2560x1440. Some future.

That's why you don't compare a single 1920x1080 social website page with sixty 1920x1080 frames in a second. Or did you forget that as well?

Did you really just compare Facebook to a gaming console? Are lemmings getting dumber by the minute?

Fanboys here are forgetting that even streaming a 1080p video on youtube will buffer and lag no matter how fast your internet connection is. 720p streaming is already struggling on youtube 480p streaming is more stable. Cloud will end up failing for processing or streaming games. The only thing its good at is enhancing the ai.

And to the dude that said facebook you gotta be shitting me. Facebook can even run on dialup connection. It dorsnt require superfast internet for it to work. Cloud will need a solid fast connection. Even so you will still get 720p

Nope. I have halfway decent internet, and that struggles at time to handle full HD video streaming.

Don't knock it until you try it. It's pretty boss. That is unless you own a tablet and occasionally don't have access to the internet when you are out and about. I fucking hate that about tablet games.

At home I really don't give a shit because I don't need them outside the house. Mobile\tablet games should be playable all the time regardless of connectivity.
