what are you talking about! it was always PS exclusive!
At least sony had the decency to state in the description that Killing Floor was a highly successful PC title
Good for ps4 owners :D Hopefully it has mouse support tho, playing this game with spotty controls sounds like a nightmare
Expecting simplified gameplay and prolific DLC spammed.
A change in direction for the studio: greed/low exceptions.
FPS on console? No thanks.
Considering how many shooters release on consoles yearly, these types of responses seem out of date and crazy.

Last time I checked consoles still use analogue sticks, so how is what I'm saying out of date? If something was bad before it is still bad today, things don't magically get better over time unless you do something to improve it.
FPS on console? No thanks.

What is out of date about not liking to play an FPS on console?
Almost every shooter these days is built around analog aiming. Most shooters these days actually feel more awkward with the mouse and keyboard set up these days.

Analog aiming is still objectively inferior.
Aiming doesn't really matter for modern shooters. Games are moving further and further away from accuracy based gameplay.
I can see this working but if Tripwire make the next Red Orchestra a multiplat all hope is lost.
I wonder if they will adjust the difficulty to account for playing with a controller. You need to be pretty precise with some of the classes in the first KF.
If it has split screen support I can see this being a lot of fun as a local co-op title.
Analog aiming is still objectively inferior.
Doesn't mean you can't have just as much fun with it.
Analog aiming doesn't diminish the quality of the shooting, gameplay, or any other part of the game. It's just something PC gamers continue to bash while millions and millions go about enjoying FPSs on consoles. It's really a petty argument when it comes down to it.

Didn't answer the question. Analog aiming is still inferior, so how is disliking it out of date?

How is it petty? Different people like different things. To you it may not be a huge deal but to me it makes games much less enjoyable.
To say that if you enjoy it that means everyone should is rather narrow minded.

Well I have fun with Halo, I'll admit that. Bungie did a great job in hitting that sweet spot.
But when I can play with KB/M, why play with analog? Analog is slow, hard, and unintuitive. People enjoy FPS on consoles because that's all they know.

No it's petty because you're not just enjoying your favorite way of playing games, you're going out of your way to tell people that their way is wrong in your opinion and that you can't have as much fun despite the person who is currently playing with analog controls probably having plenty of fun.
It's basically ego boosting for PC gamers to bash console gamers over analog controls. Sitting there telling people that their controls scheme is objectively inferior despite them obviously not giving a shit and continuing to have fun with analog controls is just petty.
And after 20+ years of console games, that's all the argument has boiled down to. People mostly don't care, the ones who do play on the PC. Console gamers just don't care and they continue to play FPSs on their consoles with analog. Sitting there and telling them that their controls are objectively inferior is nothing more than ego boosting and trying to boast how much better of a gamer you are. Hell it's petty and childish.
It doesn't matter what YOU prefer. What matters is you're trying to talk down to others based on how they are trying to enjoy games.
We play video games for fun. If they are going to have fun playing with a controller then so be it. It's not your place to tell them they are wrong and that somehow the games are less fun.

So lets just gloss over the fact that console users do the same to PC users....

That's not true at all. I bought CoD Advanced Warfare on my PS4 over my PC and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Furthermore two wrongs don't make a right. Just because they do it doesn't mean you should. That's childish logic.

Where did I say anyone was wrong to enjoy FPS on consoles? There are plenty of games that I prefer a controller for than keyboard and there will probably be some elitist who will insult me for that. Insulting a person for their preference in controls is dumb.
Just because someone doesn't like something that doesn't mean they think nobody should be allowed to like it. Don't make assumptions.

Analog aiming is unprecise, only reason it has worked on consoles for so long is thanks to the aim-assist, aiming with a mouse will always be more precise and better, and if I recall correctly, this very SW forum documented a controller user getting destroyed by a mouse user
Millions enjoy listening to Justin Bieber and millions enjoy paying thousands of dollars in microtransactions on their mobile games, doesn't mean both offer quality entertainment, that's some weak logic

Childish logic? We are (mostly) grown adults arguing over video games. Don't talk to me about childish things. Fact of the matter is, the KB/M combo is better than the controller. Playing an FPS with a controller is an exercise in frustration. It makes it somewhat bearable if everyone is using the same pad but nothing can match a KB/M in terms of aiming. If they don't care then thats fine but it keeps getting brought up over and over again in arguments. Consolites will dissmiss anything that doesn't fit their argument, much like HDMI argument regarding playing a PC in the same environment as a console etc.

Point taken. Don't troll wasdie because he has no sense of humour. Got it.
I'm guessing KF2 will support controllers on PC, I wonder how they'll handle the gunplay with controls since it not like console shooters where there is little to no recoil.

But it does matter for killing floor 2 if you actually wanna take advantage of the damage system on zeds.

The shift towards 3rd person shooters have done that. A 3rd person shooter handles better than a controller compared to a FPS.

you're surprised that people got upset with you when you came in here and one-sidedly seem to call them childish and petty? Especially when it was there personal preference that was being put into question

We'll see when it comes out. I don't remember having to be accurate with Killing Floor 1. I actually never used the iron sights in the first game, it was better to spray in a general direction to do the most damage.
