Killzone 2: Enough to Challenge Halo 3's throne?

I'm sorry this wus in the the ps3 threads but im posting this here bcuz i thought i would be less biased then a bunch of ps3 fanboys (surprisingly i am 1....i'm a warshipper of sony!!...not literally) well i don't want pplfighting over but plz keep the comment smart and all ways contradict some1s comment it keeps thethread fresh.

After seeing this video, I'm going to have to go with Killzone just based off of singleplayer.

Who cares if KZ2 challenges Halo 3?

The devs sure as hell dont. They aint competing with Halo 3. They're competing with themselves to make the best game they can. They're improving on their past works.

Reviews: Yeah, I could see KZ2 coming close to Halo 3.

Yup, thats exactly what their Project Lead said in the 25 minute interview, which happens to be posted here on GS.

If you compare Halo 3 with Killzone 2 side by side, Killzone 2 would be non existent.

I read the thread name and was prepared to come in here and say that halo is nothing like killzone, and the devs obviously arent trying to de-throne anyone.

its way WAY WAY to tell on killzones part...everyone was thinking the same one with the first one!

i was actually worried how halo 3 would turn out untill the last bunch of media that has come out...WOW!

and to all the halo haters...there is a reason all the professional game reviewers score it so good...cause its a good game...your not cool and you are not getting any attention by saying its bad

Same thing I was thinking. Plus they can't compete really. Halo can't affect Killzone and Killzone can affect Halo. They are on two different platforms.

It was deemed a "Halo killer" and hyped by fans and the press who first layed eyes on the game. The developers never made Killzone to be a "Halo killer". They've denied this in the past.

Just out of curiosity...what does Killzone2 offer that Gears of War didn't already offer about a year ago?

Halo 2 did not have a great developement time. In the time they had they were able to pull of a system seller, that is an accomplishment.

Features-wise, I don't think Killzone 2 will come anywhere near Halo 3. Weapons/gadgets/vehicles-wise it will be absolutly no contest at all. Graphics i'll give it to Killzone 2 easily, but it depends on what you are looking for. If you like color, than killzone2/gears/mgs4 are probably not for you.bezaire2005

It will have one of the best endings to any trilogy.

I played Killzone but I hated the weak characters the stealth chick sucked. THe only one worth playing as was the steroid user.

Also Halo 3 mp will be the bomb it will make the game last forever.

Halo 2 had enough steam of it's own. Sure the campaign came to an abrupt halt...but multiplayer is STILL popular. People wouldn't be playing a game this long if it was just rolling off of the steam of the first one.
