The usage in of fake when talking about lighting in software refers to whether or not the lighting is baked in.
So your usage of fake in this situation is useless and meaningless.

This is so common that every game uses it a LOT. You just didn't realize it first because no one stopped you to focus like they did on this thread.
Also, just to clarify one thing to you, GG themselves said that KZ2 was not about realism but "hollywood realism".
