I don't understand how this will be a general consensus though. I mean who's to say cows will say "oh well the real game has better shadowing or textures then that trailer, so it's better!" when in reality the game looks much worse other then those 1 or 2 OK features

It's quite worst. Basically option A is asking if you believe in Santa Claus and fairies. Anything is possible, and it isn't far fetched at all. Don't be nieve.
I think the game will look great but no way can it meet those CGI graphics, no way. So option B for me. Although my main worry for that game isn't the graphics it is the gameplay. The PS2 Killzone looked great, it just played like trash and was so glitchy it makes Gears online look smooth.

You're acting like answer A is completely impossible. And yea I realize the Ps3 isn't an infinate power source, but I think it's powerful enough to give us visuals on par with the trailer.

Yeah, that's the logical answer. But it's ok to hope for something like that. Just not on the Playstation 3 though. I don't doubt Guerrilla's talents, so they'll do what they can.
I am a bit of a cynic, so I choose option B. I just don't think those graphics are possible at this given time. Hell, I was even skeptical of GeoW's graphics before it was released.
