Killzone 2 is going to be a dissapointment

I'm so tired of people saying a game is good because of its graphics. Example: Killzone 2. The first game was absolute garbage. Now that sony released that cg trailer cows are like OH MY GOSH killzone 2 is gonna kick BUTT. Tell me, does that make any sense at all? Think about it, if the first game was garbage , what makes you think the second one will be any better? especially when you don't know ANYTHING about the game. COWS- "But...but did you see the trailer?It was in real time!!" WRONG!!! NOBODY has confirmed the trailer was in real time. I would bet my life that that wasn't actual gameplay. If killzone 2 turns out to look ANYTHING like the trailer, i will confess the ps3's superiority to the 360

Im willing to take this challenge against u and say killzone 2 will be a success and u will get owned. If not then ill accept ownage and be considered system wars biggest joke. Deal? Man for sony 2 put 20 million on this project, I dont expect nothing lower then a 8.8 coming from killzone 2 from gamespot, this is how much faith I have in sony to finally bring out an fps alot of ps2 owners have been waiting for. Dont get me wrong, Resistance fall of Man has already been great to us ps3 owners but I think sony will help guerilla finally bring something special in the fps genre to add to its arsenal.

I didn't realize KZ1 went from a birds eye view, had no voice acting, you couldn't see a thing or what was 10 feet infront of you to a full functioning 3D world... :roll:

It's not a proven franchise yet, not even a proven AA franchise yet. So people have enough evidence to doubt it, people can even doubt halo 3, which people do because it isn't a proven AAA franchise yet either.

Well, sort of. Killzone 2 was already good (Also known as Killzone: Liberation, confirmed by the devs as the second in the series), so I would assume there is a chance of Killzone PS3 being even better, considering the budget.

waterworld was one of the most expensive movies of all time, and it did TERRIBLE (i know it's a movie and blah blah blah) but still, money isn't everything, and it doesn't gurantee a good game.

exactly. Same thing can be said about killzone, except killzone doesn't have the best track record. Halo has a better track record for scores and sales and in every other aspect. Both killzone and halo have a good chance of either being great or failures, but halo 3, statistically speaking, has a better chance of being a success and doing better. while killzone does not.

Killzone's probelm was that it was very unpolished and rushed. Now, they're apparently not rushing the game, so look how things could change with that.

The reason I think it has potential is because of the 120 dev team, $21 million budget and the very long dev time.

The original was rushed, and that doesn't seem to be happening for the PS3 version. I'm hopeful it'll be a good game but I'm not holding my breath.

Which wasn't even an FPS, completely deviated from the original formula, and is Guerrilla's ONLY game to score above 7.0...

The first Killzone wasn't bad at all. Some bugs here and there but i just lived with them and went on. I love the backdrop of the story and was a good game. The online was great too. I would prefer to play Halo over it but it was no where near a bad game.

I will be surprised if Killzone PS3 is anything lower than a AAA title. Money, support, and the devs learned from their mistakes will make this game great.

Also it is way too early to say anything and I mean anything about Killzone PS3. Just wait a few more weeks.

What was garbage about the first game? Did you throw flowers at the enemy? Were the enemies and heroes boring? What was garbage? The graphics right? Well PS3 can give better grapics. Was it the gameplay? The game has been worked on for years now. And the devs have been given a huge budget. And everyone knows the trailer was fake. This post is about 2 years late TC. But at least your honest enough to admit that if it looks as good as the trailer you'll be impressed. Your level oneness is so obvious ergo this post TC.

Exactly. It's all opinion at this point. And I don't want to hear anymore about KZ 1 being garbage for PS2. If this game were coming to PS2 I could maybe agree with that but it's coming to a system much more advanced than PS2 thus allowing devs to do much more with the game. Lets hold off on all the KZ sux/rules stuff until E3.

Not that Halo needs to be a graphical beast to sell millions but it does look like Halo 2.5 more than Halo 3. In fact, I'd bet the game could be run on an Xbox.
