Killzone 2 needs to get a 10 to be a Halo killer

It ain't going to happen cows, the game won't even be AAA like many of your over hyped games. So i am wondering if any fanboys still going to call Killzone 2 a Halo killer?

ITs not officially hyped the halo killer anymore you know that right? Only a select few are doing that.

Killzone isn't looking to kill anything. These are the words of the GG developer at GDC: "We don't really care about what other shooters are doing. We're just focused on making the best game we can."

a small minority of extreme fanboys at the most. I doubt it's enough to qualify as "many" by comparison to the total population of PS3 owners here.

Most of them do bash Halo 3 and then praise KZ2, yet they don't think it can outscore it. Quite odd.

Standards change over time. A GS reviewer does not have to like Killzone 2 more than Halo 3 for it to be a better game. Not-A-Stalker

Damage control already? Lets just say it won't be as good for it's time as Halo 3 is for it's time and unless your waiting until Killzone 2 is out to play Halo 3 that's all that should matter. Only way you could possibly compare otherwise you could say any AA or even A game would have been AAA if released years ago.

Funny thing is Halo3 would've been lucky to break 9 if it came out later this year. After UT3, CoD4, Haze it'll be looking a lot worse. Killzone2 is going to be rated on completely different standards with a ton of great FPSs coming out before it. If KZ2 gets a 9 it's probably a better game than Halo.Lazy_Boy88

im hyping killzone 2 AA and and if it gets 8.5 then thats great from being KZ1a 6.9 to AA then im happy, and by the way no one hyping kz2 to be the halo killer

I agree. It's being hyped as one of the best FPS's by the fanboys. I've seen them hype it to be better than Crysis and Halo. It better damned well be hyped as AAA. :)

Wanna know a secret? We don't care. All that matters is if WE like it, and you hating a game won't change that. And Halo is overrated, play farcry to see why.

We argued about this before. Just let things take care of themselves. I think every game that deserved AAA hype has gotten it so far , and one that probably didn't really derseve to be there (HS) managed to get there because cows were desperate and that is fine. A couple of games will get overhyped and they will flop like HS. The only other game that was a shocker that the fanboys backed out on was Lost Odyssey. How did that only get hyped A ? If Killzone is looking good closer to release , people are going to take it to AAA. If it is not looking good at the time , they won't. Initial enthusiam should not be held against people , that is a reason for the system right ?

It is just an personalOpinion of mine, I think the graphics, story and controls were better, and the difficulty made it more of a challenge.

A perfect 10 rating is a rating that should be preserved for the game that truely out does itself in ever single aspect. A perfect 10 is the game that completly revolutionizes the genre, type of game, and how people look at it. I am going to say it right now, there will never ever be a game that can "kill" Halo to the point where people forget about it.

Killzone 2 will have aspects of its game where it is 10x better than Halo 3. There will be something in Halo 3 that are 10x better than KZ2. We just dont know.

All i know is Killzone 2 is going to be sick and will be a great game as will and is at this point in time Halo 3.

If you are going to act this way then the system must be thrown away immediately and we can go back to claiming everything was hyped AAA and we we bump threads and claim ownage anywhere we can. We can argue over and over about what game was hyped and what game wasn't hype and so on.

I know you want to take pleasure in these flops , but jeez..... look at someone else's perspective. I don't want to be ridiculed because some kids are going to hypeThe Getaway AAA.

All we know about it's superior graphics, lighting, engine...etc, it is something new and big, but to make it perfect is something else, they have to do something everybody will remember for the rest of their life, something memorable, that's the first thing, the gameplay is a big factor to make a game(gameplay is also sometimes become something memorable), if they do something new to the genre, something will keep you coming back for this game to play again and again, and Atmosphere is the third thing and i think they got it, then you will see a perfect 10 from GS.

Scores doesn't matter much to me though.

I agree to that as well. It was like Lair getting a bad review. I wasn't going to buy it anyways if it got a 9+. That game doesnt appeal to me. Its annoying when people bring up the Lair 4.5 crap. Its also annoying when people rate halo 3 a perfect 10. Its not. Halo 1 easily takes the cake on being better.
