Killzone 2 needs to get a 10 to be a Halo killer

It is just an personalOpinion of mine, I think the graphics, story and controls were better, and the difficulty made it more of a challenge.

I'm a PC gamer and I like Crytek, but FarCry is nowhere near Halo 3. Halo 3 is superior in about every way. I have beat FarCry about 10 times btw.

I think most would settle with 9.5. Heck, even a 9.0 would be huge to me after that monstrous flop of a predecessor.ToScA-

lair officially being hyped AA was nearly vomit inducing. warhawk and blue dragon are other examples of games that had their hype lowered. the purpose of those hype threads is not to play it safe. honesty is a bit too much to ask for here much of the time though. if we're going to have to read people praising a game like it's the second coming then they should be held accountable for it.

The hype threads are just a stupid game, it's not worth getting bent out of shape just because people are playing it safe. I've said for a while that hype threads are really stupid, but we still have them, so don't complain that people are working the system to their advantage. People get to vote how much a game needs to score in order to not flop, which is really stupid, so why shouldn't people play it safe when it comes to games they don't want to see flop?

??? What are you talking about? halo 3 received great reviews in Europe and neither game will sell in japan. I wouldnt be surprised if halo 3 actaully outsells Killzone 2 in japan.

Damage control already? Lets just say it won't be as good for it's time as Halo 3 is for it's time and unless your waiting until Killzone 2 is out to play Halo 3 that's all that should matter. Only way you could possibly compare otherwise you could say any AA or even A game would have been AAA if released years ago.

Apparently now the new saying will be 9.0 = 9.5 cause of the time difference of release LOL

So I guess Killzone getting 6.9 was really a like 9.0 and so it was closer to God of War's 2 score cause of the time difference lol

No one rational expects the game to score higher than Halo 3.

Gamespot says specifically that their standards get higher over time. A game that scores 9.5 a year ago isn't necessarily better than one that scores an 9.0 today.

You do realise that GS scores judge the game based on the standards at that time and that they do not compare the game to any other game while reviewing it. For example by your logic I could say that the 360 doesn't have a game better than Tony Hawks pro skater 3 on the PS2.
