the one thing that really upsets me is the fact that they took out the destructible environments we saw in the 'target renders'.. that they lied about saying they were 'in engine'. to me this looks like F.E.A.R. 1.5, mixed with gears and COD. the lighting is OK, but none of the footage showed dynamic lighting, just fixed god-rays like in half-life 2.

i dunno, my killzone 2 expectations just really dropped imo after watching that video.

If you had a PS3, you could watch the 1080 gameplay trailer they have on PSN now. then you could stop lying to yourself about KZ2 not being impressive.

You would have to have had expectations in the first place in order for them to be lowered ;)

or i could watch it on my dual 1080p monitors, same stuff buddy. actually a better picture tbh.

it's a definite downgrade, i don't care what anyone says. i don't need confirmation or affirmation for something i can see and judge myself.

and um, thanks for being captain obvious. i had high expectations based on the footage we saw last year, but the game is nowhere close to the target renders yet. if you think it is then you're the one being a bit delusional.

no its not buddy lol. watch the PSN trailer. there is a big difference between that and anything you can watch on the net right now. How can you judge something for yourself when you don't own the hardware the game is coming out on? If you had a PS3 and watched the PSN trailer, you would not be saying such silly things. I watched the gears trailer on my 360, It looks awesome, but the PSN KZ2 trailer has more color than Gears 2, and is visually a bit better. But you're a fanboy so this is an excersize in futility.

I will admit that MS did a great job getting FF13 to the 360 but that shows just how weak the 360 lineup is. I mean if FF13 was the highlight of MS is press conference then its pretty sad if u ask me because yes that is a huge exclusive lost to the ps3 but alot of people are acting like FF13 isnt coming to the ps3 aswell which it is and will be on one disc and I hear the 360 version will have multiple disk. While I do think FF13 was the biggest suprise at E3. I think sony had better exclusives and announcements to show off.

U know where I think MS went wrong was leaving bungie out of there conference just to make way for the FF13 announcement. Overall I think MS had the best conference and sony second with nentendo coming in third but all 3 press conferences were pretty lacking in exclusive showings. I give sony and nintendo a break just for the fact that they have other systems aswell to announce games for with the DS, PSP, and PS2. But MS had the best overall E3. But it is still sad to see FF13 overshadowed every other 360 game. If it wasnt then why is the whole press making such a big deal of FF13 instead of saying how amazing Gears or Fable 2 or any of the other MS games are.

I mean Just look at all the previews of Motorstorm 2, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Little Big Planet and other ps3 titles, they are getting so much praise even though Sony had a lackluster E3 conference. That is a good sign if u ask me because from the last showing of Motorstorm 2 and Killzone 2, we were hearing some bad things about both those killer apps and now those 2 games are living up to there promise. Also with MAG announcement which is huge because it is being develiped by zipper themselves the original Socom devs which we all know MAG is going to be huge and a success, I mean 256 players online is just taking it way beyond for a console game. Also infamouslooking awesome aswell. FF13 is a big loss again for Sony but it isnt as big of a loss as GTA4 is. Aslong as sony has exclusives to wow everyone they will be alright. They still havent showed Team Ico's game and Twisted Metal so those are 2 other huge games to look out for the ps3. :)

I don't think we watched the same trailer going by what you said. The KZ2 trailer on PSN had a lot of color in it. I was actually surprised by it seeing as how all the online trailers had a big absense of it. It looks a lot better than COD4 dude, come on now. Gears looks great, but KZ2 edges it out in the looks department. Seeing both in motion KZ2 slightly>Gears 2.

doom3 online own killzone2 though by far, doom3 would own if idsoftware made more deathmatch maps larger ones, they have a pretty good amount of user made maps, but would of been cool to have some pro made maps.

i'm watching it in HD on my computer, which i can assure you looks better than what you'd see on a normal HDTV... and visually it's not close to gears 2 (not that im a fan of gears) and it's way short of the target renders they showed off last year.3picuri3
