Killzone 2 still challenges crysis 2 graphically

What's up with the heavy dof and motionblur in KZ?

Not sure about Killzone 2 but 3 definitely looks better than Crysis 2. Rage looks better than both though.

Crysis 2 looks considerably better.Textures,scale,crispness,destructible environments,even lighting...yea,pretty much better.

Well,it did get 2 awards for best graphics of E3 and 2 for best 3D.Neither RAGE or KZ3 get many,similar really...either way i did not see many awards this year for gfx,dunno whats up with that.The guy that played it played it also in 3D,he said it looked very crisp which leads me to believe they are using some other AA method.He also added the dev kit was brought infront of him...

The fire in killzone looks nowhere close to the fire in crysis.That's all i see.genaroll

And hermits like to ignore all their platform specific problems, the lack of standardization makes for more buggier games, games still release with tons of driver issues and crash all the time... my most recent one was bad company 2. It doesn't have a universal identity with a friends list that exist across games, you have several different programs that mimick it. But what you get is a chopped up community because of it.

Crysis is AMAZING graphically on PC, nothing on consoles this generation will touch it simply by virtue of being outclassed.subrosian

Crysis and then crysis 2 on pc is and will be greater than anything on consoles. Give the game a few months and im sure you'l have realism mods posted all over the net that will make the pc version look 2 times better than the original product and that would still look better than a console version. I have Killzone 2 on my ps3 on a full hd tv set, the only part that was impressive was the desert level, apart from that Crysis had my mind blown through out the whole game, graphically.

Killzone and Crysis both look amazing, do you guys really have to zoom in and stare to the nearly DETAIL to complain and say the other game looks better? BTW lemmings why isnt Halo Reach in this? LOL

I got a PS3 and I played Killzone 2 and honestly for the majority of the game I didnt like its graphical style at all. The game was so grey that it blew my mind. However the desert mission and the one with the nuked city looked pretty sweet.

I got a PS3 and I played Killzone 2 and honestly for the majority of the game I didnt like its graphical style at all. The game was so grey that it blew my mind. However the desert mission and the one with the nuked city looked pretty sweet.

i gotta agree with this for the most part but for me, the desert level when on foot was unbearable. too much bloom. it was too distracting. on the exoskeleton, it was better. the best level is on the cruiser when you're shooting fighters out of the sky simply because there's actually color and little bloom going on. btw, Radec was a total cheese.

I saw that, but this thread is about KZ2 looking better than C2.

There's a lot of factors that go into choosing "best x" when it comes to E3 awards. Take for instance IGN's best game award going to Rage. So does this mean Rage is the better than any other game? It's just an opinion, and they gotta choose one for the clicks.

KZ3 is quite impressive, so it's not unlikely that somebody would think it's the best looking game.

NO.First.I said that RAGE got MORE praise for its graphics than KZ3 and i backed it up.Then i gave you IGNs preview with game of the show award and MAAANY previews that called it one of or best looking game.Ok it did not specifically said "Its BETTER than KZ3" but it did say it looks like a game for NEXT GEN consoles running at 60fps.That has to count for something.

Also here is preview that says that Crysis 2(showed 3 months before now) trumps KZ2,so thats a fact?Because you still claim KZ2>Crysis 2. :roll:
