Dat glass shatterin in KZ3!
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I don't understand why SW users think Crysis 2 is the 'best console graphic king' when Killzone 3 mops the floor with it in every way. KZ3 has better character models, KZ3 doesn't run in subHD like Crysis 2, and KZ3 has more going on in the scenes than Crysis 2.
I guess they want something to dethrone UC2 so bad they resort to this.....
crysis 2 does not look more real..lol..I dont even have either game and have only played demos of each. SO I can speak with a clear mind..KZ3 KILLZ crysis2 in every aspect no contest..

Even in that youtube comparison the barrel explosion is showing off better particle effects in Crysis 2.

Yeah, its nice comparison. KZ3 graphical superiority is absolutely clear. Screenshot comparisons might be a subject of discussion, but in motion, there is no doubt KZ3 is superior.

Finally, this wouldn't be a Crysis 2 review without some space dedicated to the game's graphics, would it? This is a gorgeous game, certainly one of the best-looking console titles to date
http://gamingbolt.com/crysis-2-ps3-review
Crysis 2 for the PlayStation 3 is an exceptional shooter and perhaps the best looking game on the system.

"Again, I've never seen a more beautiful game on a console in my life. It will take years, possibly even the next-generation of consoles, before this is trumped."

There's little doubt that the Xbox 360 is the cleaner, crisper experience and for the most part it commands a small
but significant frame-rate advantage and fewer little glitches; especially outside of combat scenarios,
the game just seems to run that much more smoothly
Xbox 360: 29.11 fps
PS3: 26.54 fps
"Crysis 2 on Xbox 360 has taken the crown for best graphics in a console game"

So what you are suggesting is that they let OTHER people tell them instead? Interesting? What's your favorite game of all time? Half Li...Oh wait no it's not it's Panda Bear Island 3.
i think that what hes saying is that if THAT many reliable sources are saying baisicly the same thing......well, i mean its kinda hard to form a defense except by saying something along the lines of "i dont listen to other peoples opinions" or "u let othr peepl tell u wut games r gud nao?"i think that what hes saying is that if THAT many reliable sources are saying baisicly the same thing......well, i mean its kinda hard to form a defense except by saying something along the lines of "i dont listen to other peoples opinions" or "u let othr peepl tell u wut games r gud nao?"slvrraven9
If they're saying anything posititve about Crysis 2 at all, that throws off all seriousness and credibility.

Nice demagogy. Esp. the lens of truth post because lens of truth is the only site that actually compared Killzone 3 to Crysis 2 on some serious level and Killzone 3 was the CLEAR winner.
http://www.lensoftruth.com/head2head-killzone-3-vs-crysis-2-analysis/2/
Also, there is a poll with over 3000 voters and 78% of them (!!!) voted that Killzone 3 looks better. So no - people are not trying to tell themselves anything, its GENERAL OPINION that Killzone 3 looks better.
Also I could post here exactly the same number of links to KZ3 reviews that state its the best looking fps ever on consoles, but Im not going to waste my time on that.
Just watch this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CBd6QX8nps you either agree that Killzone 3 looks better or you are lying to yourself.
People still play KZ2?[QUOTE="dotWithShoes"][QUOTE="rich-sac"]
All talk of Crysis 2 on consoles being non linear open world this and that...blah blah. How about try doing quater mile sized Multiplayer maps (Not single player where everything is scripted) with 32 players total, and I'm not even counting the turrets and sentry drones. All gun muzzle lighting creates shadows (list another console game that has this feature?)and all shotgun have an attached flashlight which creates shadows when shined on anything. All @720p (subHD is so last Gen) and even the framerate doesn't choke as bad as the Crysis 2 campaign, none the less the multiplayer. And yes the insane amounts of motion blur, both camera and per object, which is very taxing on hardware, complete with anti aliasing. Still have some of the best explosions/ smoke particles and best character animations. The insane amounts of beautiful lens flare that even Battlefield 3 can't seem to get right. Wow this game was way ahead of it's time. In fact, it pushed the PS3 so far that even the XMB gets laggy. And No Uncharted 2 never beated Killzone 2 graphically. Colors Doesn't = Better graphics.

7,000+ players on week days. 10,000+ on weekends
pretty small considering it's Sony's premier FPS exclusive.

The game is a borefest and has very overrated visuals.
aside from the game being a borefest (of course both opinions are subjective) because what you may see as boring someone else may not but this isnt about the game being a "borefest" this is about visuals and what i saw was a laundry list of credible sources praising the visuals of crysis 2 calling it in many cases as the best looking console game of all time. now why because you call the visuals overrated should we believe you over the slew of credible sources that actually get paid to review and cover these games? cmon.....im waiting on the typical GS answer.[QUOTE="KarateeeChop"]

Yes, that was a lolful day on system wars, especially considering Crysis 2 runs on the same settings and similar/better performance as a 360 on a 5450[QUOTE="ronvalencia"]

Another one from http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-saboteur-aa-blog-entry
"We're seeing PS3 attacking a visual problem using a method that not even the most high-end GPUs are using."
After above statement, AMD implements it's own MLAA within it's own drivers i.e. the above statement was countered.
Before PS3's MLAA fame, AMD's Iourcha, Yang and Pomianowski suggested a more advanced version of the same basic idea i.e.note that Radeon HD 2900 doesn't have a proper MSAA hardware. Software AA is like returning to Radeon HD 2900's approach to AA i.e. reduce fix function hardware .
