Killzone 2 the Halo killer? I'm confused.

It was hyped as an excellent game.

Guaranteed a small following hyped it better than Halo, but hardly the majority.

Very, Very, Very Desperate...and sadly, not an original Idea as a few other hardcore anticow fanboys have tried to make this exact thread. This thread, like those few others, blew up in all those other fanboy's face, further wrecking any legitimacy they might have had.

I can't believe I'm actually defending M$, but something needs to be said. Why have the Cows dubbed Killzone 2 as the Halo killer?

KILLZONE 1 for PS2 was dubbed "The Halo Killer", but "The Cows" learned their lesson. KZ2 was considered a great game, and sitll is. You're confusing Cows with FAKEBOY's (Low Level, Alt Accounts, not legitmate Recognized posters).

There are no "KILLER" games that kill Zelda, Halo, Mario, Street Fighter, etc.

If you find these "COWS", please post a link so we can all make fun of them, because they aren't really cows, they are new users with alt accounts.

ok im not trying to sound like a fanboy but do people really think that is halo3 and kz2 came out at the same time theywould have scored different? i really think not i bet they would have had the exact same score. sure it wasnt much of difference in time that they came out but enough to have expectation grow as to what a current gen game should be. cause a year is a VERY longtime when it comes to technologyriver_rat3117

H3 still would of scored higher. 4 player co-op, a competitive point based mode on the single player + skulls for a lot more single player replay than KZ2 which has nothing, Forge mode, ability to upload photos, ability to upload films, more maps at launch, far FAR FAR superior customization in multiplayer, more multiplayer game types.

List goes on..if KZ2 and H3 was to launch this year, you can assume Bungie would have graphics that are acceptable for this current gen of games, KZ2 will still look better but that's all it'll have. H3 has a massive amount of options for a single game even to this day. So no, they'd not score the same. GG didn't make a game that matched Halos package, it simply fell short and matched R2..which lets face it, everyone stopped talking about that a month after it launched.

I never said nor claimed KZ2 did "Destroy Halo" on any level. ;) :lol:

I think KZ2 is a pretty FPS, nothing more, I was one of the few that never hyped this game, EVER, because I didn't like the first one too much.

I own TWO copies of HALO 3, and ONLY ONE copy of KZ2, so I surely don't like KZ2 as much as Halo 3.

That doesn't change the fact that Cows are being accused of Hyping it as a Halo Killer, Cows hyped the Graphics and the fact it was going to Score Weill, two things KZ2 managed to do, despite the world waiting for this game to CRITICALLY Flop.

KZ2 was a big surprise for many, many gamers, since it was actually QUALITY.

Killzone 2 had hype, and no doubt some fanboys hyped it to kill Halo 3. Notice, some, not everybody.

You asked SolidTY to provide proof that not everybody hyped KZ2 to kill Halo 3, yet you made the claim that everybody did. Therefore burden of proof was placed on you.

Yeah, KZ2 turned out a great game, but not up to a Halo.

Killzone 2 is a great game, technically better than Halo 3 even. What it isn't is the phenomenon that Halo is.

And it doesn't have to be.

The critics here at Gamespot have also scored Halo 3 higher than Killzone 2. Am I missing something here? Seems like Halo is alive and well, and Killzone 2 is just in the shadow of Halo 3's success.

Really though. Any gamer with sense didn't call it that.

let me explain why you are confused. Lemmings hyped kz2 to be a failure like the first game and cows were only defending kz2 because they liked kz to be the Halo killer but when you think about it kz2 did deliver so at the end lemmings got owned and cows won despite the kz2 sales being lower than Halo3.

Both games are good ..so stop comparing each other
