Killzone 2 vs Call of Duty 4/ Gears of War comparison videos: NO CONTEST!

After downloading and watching the larger version of each of the videos. I can't really decide. Gears still looks good. Though I hate how people talk about killzone's background. Gears background isn't perfect either. I could notice some hedges and leaves that were not better than the hedges and leaves in resistance! Yes killzone background does need work, especially some of the textures but it has way more time to improve than the other 2 games. COD4 also looks really good. If you compare to similar areas of the game in killzone. The look about the same overall. Though again, killzone has much longer to go. (Around the middle of 2008 )munu9

KZ2 has been in development for 2 years. How much time do you need? Honestly, Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero use more special effects than what we saw in KZ2.

I didn't need to see the images side-by-side to see that Gears of War is far superior to KZ2. Where are the normal maps and self-shadowing in KZ2?Berserker_2

As long as the freaking game looks better, there's no need for special affects. The devs are taking all the time they want to make the game look as good as possible. How long has halo 3 been in development for?

Gears looks better. KZ2 has the graphics of the game almost set IMO, now they work on gameplay, physics, ai, environments, etcshadow8585

By the time KZ2 hits the street - Gears will be a one year old game on the 360 - Just Wow !

Gears is playable today yet somehow people who have yet to play the other games ( not yet playable lol ) want to pit those unproven games against a worldwide winner like Gears - sheesh !

Give it up untill those unproven games are out and we can actually play them and make a good comparison.

its a finished game (gears) vs an alpha work in progress

second gears cant handle more than 10 enemies on screen, the gameplay is based on 1 button and environemnts are much smaller and much less destructable. When stretched the gears graphics look low resolution, this is obvious when aiming closely.

lastly, cod 4 is coming on ps3 so i dont know what you all are tlaking about

This pretty much proves the difference in hardware is pretty negligible. The ps3 has slightly more ability to have more going on on screen. Thats the only difference i see. The actual look of the game is debatable. The textures in killzone are nothing impressive. Although in Uncharted and MGS it has great textures so who knows. Gears 2 has great textures not as much going on. Surprisingly out of those 3 games COD4 is probably the best mix of textures and a lot going on. Killzone probably has the most going on, but the worst textures out of those 3. Gears probably has the best textures but the least going on. So in other words, who cares.

The only thing i got out of this is Call of Duty 4 really is an amazing technical achievement and a headache.

Why the necro? Also any sane person who is not a fanboy can clearly see that KZ2 looks alot better overall.

Read the Killzone 2 Gamespot review... they say it has raised the bar in console graphics. MGS4 also won best graphics of 08 :|

guys Killzone 2 does not have better graphics that CoD4 or for that matter gears of war pc version or unreal tournament 3, if u look that the Killzone 2 gameplay u can see how crappy the backround detail is such as the walls, floor, and fences, the only good details are on the weapons.
BTW i own ps3 xbox 360 and wii
