I just finished playing it a few hours ago and it only took me a little over 6 hours to complete. I was even playing it on Veteran (Hard). While I did enjoy it, it kind of expected it to be a longer time investment.

It took me a little udner 9 hours to beat Killzone 2 on Hard. A good hour of that was probably spent on the last fight with Radec
i never buy my games full price, i just wait till that price drops but it has multiplayer which is what you kiddies these days love so yeah thats why the campaign is short but 6-7 hours sounds reasonable to me.

Got the under 20 minute trophy first try. Cover + rockets is all you had to do all the way through the game. Ez, AI was stupid.[QUOTE="BPoole96"][QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"] Longer than kz2, beat that in 5 hours.i5750at4Ghz

Yea its short, but great nonetheless. Really enjoying the splitscreen with my mate. Going to hop on the multiplayer with friends soon enough. :)

Got the under 20 minute trophy first try. Cover + rockets is all you had to do all the way through the game. Ez, AI was stupid.I found the AI in Killzone 3 to be better. For instance, the guys with shotguns that rush you actually rush from cover to cover rather than running in a stright line out in the open. The Helghast also move to different covers depending on where you are which is a ncie change from KZ2 where they seem to be glued to the wall they were taking cover on

Did you play it on Hard your first play through?
Will be quicker on Easy Killzone 2 I finished easy in under 5 hours, I finished Normal a little over 5 hours...and all I ever used was the knife when it was the choice.

They have playthroughs on youtube and I've been casually watching on and off. The story is decent enough. The acting, honestly, is a little hard to swallow at times. Its more so because they didnt seem to do a good job at syncing up animations all that well to properly display how the characters are really feeling. If you have played mass effect, its kind of like that but worse. Also there isnt enough "umph" to the acting you could say.
The two main headbutters on the helgan side are pretty decent though for the most part.

So Kevin V was full of **** when he said that it would've been better without any story at all instead of that awful story??

He was being slightly over dramatic in regards to the storyI had soooo much fun with the single player demo and the beta that its a must buy for me no matter how long it is.

Helghan characters and voice acting are as good as it gets (in video games of course, which are rarely known for succefful acting or writing). The ISA characters, just like the last game, are either mediocre or bad. Overall the story I thought was really good throughout and greatly improved the last game. The ending was a bit anti-climactic though, that last on-rails sequence - I wish they did SOOOOO much more with that..
I didn't have a timer on, but I'm pretty sure it took me a bit more than 6 hours. Maybe as much as 9 or 10 hours but definitely not more than that on normal difficulty. Not bad. Black Ops was 6 hours for me on 1st normal playthrough, and Medal of Honor was 3.5 hours. That last one I had done in literally one afternoon in one sitting which is rediculous. Hell I even went back and did all of Tier 1 mode in another single afternoon. I do think this game has only about the same gameplay as Black Ops, but the cutscenes were significantly longer. I played all yesterday afternoon, and probably a couple more hours today to finish it up.
I beat Killzone 2 on Elite. Radec was fun on Elite! I am at the jungle level on KZ3 as we chat. The game so far is a blast. I don't know how long it will take me. I do want to crush this game on Elite ASAP!!
I rarely buy games at full price. And this would definantly not warrant a full-price pruchase, even if it's the game of the gen. Let the developers know you don't want to be ripped off.Mr_CumberdaleI didn't feel ripped off.

I wouldn't say he was full of ****, I mean the story isn't good. It's just not "awful". It's about what you'd expect after playing Killzone 2. I can't really say much more without any spoilers, but I didn't feel like the story was something to put so much negative weight on, especially when compared to Call of Duty or Bad Company 2, each of which have terrible campaigns

I don't feel ripped off by any means. If this was a SP only game, than yes, I would feel that way. I'm mainly just disappointed because as my buddy and I were talking on Skype as we played through the game we were trying to predict the ending and what we came up with would have been so much more awesome than what actually occurred.

I really don't get the reviews saying the campaign sucked, I thought it was great. Intense infantry battles most of the game, with only 3 vehicle on rail segments, and the last one was amazingly done. The story wasn't terrible, only that I expected stahl to be a better character than how he was presented. But overall its nowhere as bad as the press said.

I know I couldn't belivee it!
I'm enoying KZ3 alot I haven't touched MP taking my time with SP...After KZ3 I move on to Bullestorm...
i'm gonna rent it for my spring break, as much as like killzone 2, i'll never buy a fps full price again
So many people complain about length of games. Back in the NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, you would pay $50 or more for a game that could be beat in under 4 hours. Now most down loadable games that sell for $9.99 or longer than that.
Would you rather a game have a ton of unnecessary levels added just to make you grind through them to make the game longer? Do you have fun playing games that make you backtrack a ton just to extend the length of playtime? A 5 hour movie isn't necessarily better than a 2 hour movie and a 15 hour campaign isn't automatically going to be better that a 6 hour campaign.
If anything gamers were being ripped off 15 and 10 years ago. The price for gaming hasn't change much, but what has is the amount of content you get for every dollar.
Its weird. I always found myself buying games when they first came out but now they are dropping to 30 bucks within a year. Bayonetta and Dantes Inferno are 20 bucks new right now and have both been out for one year. I saw Fallout NV for 40 bucks regular price at Walmart too. If people arent craving the MP part of these games, they can easily save money waiting it out.i never buy my games full price, i just wait till that price drops but it has multiplayer which is what you kiddies these days love so yeah thats why the campaign is short but 6-7 hours sounds reasonable to me.
