Killzone is garbage...overhyped, badly textured garbage

i fail to see anything in this game, besides the lighting, character models and animation, that looks particularly good

every screenshot that cows parade around always seems to be a close up of someone with a flashlight on them like they expect the entire game to be played 2 feet away from every enemy

Killzone's graphics are great, but the gameplay...

I couldn't believe it when I saw those KZ2 demos of the guy pressing a button, shooting the antenna the button opened, then pressing the button again after the antenna closed, then shooting the antenna again, then pressing the button, shooting the antenna, over and over, with nothing else really happening. That was strikingly last-gen. Even worse. That's like a gameplay element you would've seen back in Doom. It's like if they had you look for the key to exit the level. What was up with that?

It was also really boring to watch in the demo, too, especially since the player usually missed the button to open up the antenna and ended up doing a melee attack instead of pressing it. You're sitting there going "get on with it already, man." I'd be worried as a PS3 owner if the game featured more basic and tedious gameplay elements like the antenna thing.

Are any of those fanboys in this thread right now? Redirect your hate towards them, throw it all at the original thread or blog it since any rational person wouldn't make such a blanket statement about Crysis if they knew anything about it.

We can't even make a similar statement for Killzone 2 since we've nothing to go by really, except two hands-on previews which have been really quite positive actually.

I've played the original Far Cry and I know there's far more to expect than just great graphics in Crysis. No, the best graphics available but I don't understand why you're pinning it on the rest of the fanboys.

I played the first MGS when I was 10 I think.

During that playthrough I saw a ninja massacre about 10 people, guts and all. A girl get shot in every joint whilst she laid bloodied on the floor in front of her semi-lover. And old man get his arm cut off by the previously mentioned ninja.

Then the same ninja get his arm cut off by a LAZR beam and then promptly stepped on by a massive robot bearing tactical nukes.

The first time Gray Fox killed a bunch of soldiers and left them through a corridor I had to leave the room - remember I was a little kid and had never seen anything like that. The visuals along with the audio really did a number on me then.

Watching Meryl get shot was terrible too, I would not say I was disturbed but it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience. But now I'm completely desensitized to violence and most gore. I'm 17 now, so it' understandable. ;D

I'm totally desensitized as well, I have no problems with mutilating humanenemies mercilessly, it's fun!

This is what i don't understand, if your talking about the new trailer then i have know idea what makes you think the games so amazing... The a.i was crap, bad textures and draw distance and the amount of detail is nothing compared to games like gears.

you know where there's even more worsttextures.. in Halo 3 ! .. well they got like 1 square foot of texture and they reapplied it all over the game cause it was all that could fit on a dvd.marcandrer

You obviously don't know the meaning of a "good texture", you could have a game using just one texture, but the texture is high res and very detailed.....does that mean the game has bad textures because its over used?

I got a better idea, why dont we wait until its released to give out any conclusions and comments?

I'm a lemming but whats childish about MGS4? I dunno much about it but i really liked mgs3, but i don't really like the look of MGS4, i know its set in a war-zone but there could be a bit more colour...

The pictures do look a little ugly, but watch the videos, it look better.

Killzone doesnt look bad the animations are really good and the lighting, but i doesnt look mind blowing either, the AI is horrible , the textures are disgusting same with fire effect and smoke.-wii60-

let me guess u've played it? Oh wait you haven't. and the AI during demo was set on easy. And later during play they turned it up where most people couldn't beat that one mini boss..
