I'd argue the metro series has this problem to a lesser extent, but it's still all about graphics. I don't know why you would single out just one series because of this when it's an industry wide design flaw.
On PS4 battlefield looks like shit, in comparison. Killzone is up there with the best looking PC games in pure looks.
Disagree. It looks more consistent overall, but when BF4 shines, it really fucking shines. I was more impressed with that.
Not to mention most levels in Shadowfall don't look all that impressive. From an aesthetic standpoint.
Maybe. To be fair I only played the first level of the BF4 single player, but even the KZ multiplayer looks better than it. BF has better character models scale and destructibility but KZ has way better textures and lighting

You are reaching. One reviewer on IGN Australia doesn't represent "the critics". There are tons of people that said KZSF is the best looking game on consoles in their reviews as well.
Killzone Shadow Fall is the best lookign game on consoles right now. Ryse with its blurry 900p visuals and 20fps graphics in small arenas doesn't come close.

Nothing else on consoles has this level of detail with this sort of image quality. BF4 (on PS4) comes close but the 900p graphics and jaggies really hurt the image quality so it doesn't reach the high standards of KZSF. The lighting and textures in BF4 are also a bit worse than KZSF. I'm more impressed by the waves and water effects in BF4 though, DICE are wizards.

I agree with him. I haven't seen a running PC game that runs that good looking. I'm more than positive is capable of doing it, but all I've seen is bull shot after bull shot not a game actually playing that well. I played Metro Last Light for example on max and regardless what people were saying it wasn't that impressive at all..... o.O ( I still have to try Crysis 3 )
Personally, I just started the campaign and it's good, but I don't think it has blown me away yet. Maybe the first level when you are a kid is a bad indicator of the rest of the game, but there were few things that I was like DEEM, THATS HAWT.

The sad thing about his post is that there are just as many critics and people that said KZSF is the best looking game. Critics opinions don't mean shit anyway since their opinions aren't better than ours. We have eyeballs just like they do and mine says KZSF looks lightyears ahead of Ryse 900p/15fps corridor environments with blur.

They have their biases, everyone does, to say otherwise is stupid. That doesn't answer why their opinion carries any sort of weight. What I'm getting from this is that you believe that you (and others) are incapable of thinking for themselves so must rely on the opinions of others to come to some sort of conclusion.
The truth of the matter is, is that most game reviewers are much like most gamers, they don't fully understand the technology behind the games and simply have an opinion on which looks better. Why their opinion should be worth more than mine or yours is beyond me and comes across as a rather stupid idea.

@JangoWuzHere: It never looks ugly. That's incorrect. The setting gets ugly, but it's not like the textures go bad or the lighting fails. It always looks great. It's just a pity its underwhelming and frustrating.
Had a lot lot lot more fun with ACIV and Need for Speed on my PS4.

Aw, c'mon. Back in the previous gen, I thought the console fanboys where on drugs for thinking their graphics can challenge those on the PC and I posted screenshots to back myself up. I don't have the latest video card (yet) nor do I have monitors with resolutions above 1080p. So, it falls upon those who do to show screenshots of what the PC is capable of. I haven't seen any uber detailed/ultra resolution PC screenshots here to challenge the KZS screenies.
To me, those user screenshots of KZS look great. If you have PC screenshots to challenge em, be my guest.
The character animation in Shadowfall looks terrible at times. The last time I saw characters awkwardly turning as they walk to an objective was like 6 years ago. The lighting looks amazing in some levels. However, most missions look incredibly dull and that also applies to some of the multiplayer maps. I have stumbled across more bad textures and bad effects in Shadowfall compared to any other next gen game I have played.
Assassin's Creed 4, a mostly last generation game looks way better and more consistent then nextgen shadowfall.
Killzone SF looks great. But from a technical standpoint it isn't that impressive. It lacks scale, draw distance and the textures are not nearly as hi-res compared to the best looking pc games.
