Somebody please post the very first Cryengine 3 demos where they showed buildings with large scale. I'm atlking about 2009-2010. Even that footage destorys what is being shown here.
Oh and by the way, wasn't it a cutscene (as usual with KZ)? :P
This is 100 times more believable that a cry engine demo, those demos don't have AI and and many things that hit the performance, By the way it was real time play on the scene no reporter has doubt it only fanboys and trolls have, because the demo was so impressive that have them wondering how,and to think this is a 1st gen PS4 game, who knows if it even launch alone side the console like is been rumored. The scene you quoted has no AI either. And let me tell you a secret...those reflections you see on a building, they aren't reflectionsat all. It's a rotating texture pasted on it. ;)

The devs swore that the right picture was actual game play and not a bullshot. Cows used the picture a lot to show the superiority of Killzone over all 360 games and the PC aswell. Then the game came out and people found out the truth, the damage control from cows was hilarious surrounding these pictures.Poor sheep.

That is right we can't but you have to pay $1,000 alone for that card, and you can't do sh** with it if you don't have a PC to put it,the PS4 will cost $399 probably and will look great to.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=690GTX&x=0&y=0 Since no game is actually taking full advantage of the 690GTX,it becomes more of a fair fight.Eh no, no way in hell. [QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"][QUOTE="Ilikemyname420"]The one thing that bothered me was how clean everything looked. It's a warzone with stuff flying around spewing exhaust, with people frantically running around....yet every surface looks like it's been carefully spit-polished. What happened to the grime, the grit and the dirt? The environment looked like something out of Halo or Mass Effect rather than a Killzone game.Ilikemyname420
It's not a warzone (yet). Even a warzone has clarity and sharpness of detail that was sorely lacking in previous Killzones or most current-gen console games. That's why I've been gaming most on the PC.
This new Killzone is the way it should be. It's definitely within the standards I set for PC games. I like it.
I just think the change in enviroments is a bit jarring from the previous games. I tend to associate Killzone with it's grittiness and this has seemed to get away from that a bit....although as you said it pretty much hasn't even really started yet so it might very well change later on.Obviously, I have my own preferences for what I like to see in my visuals. I think this is just as gritty as any of the KZ games and yet, it has the clarity and sharpness I crave. Looking at the the new KZ, the PS4 will be off to a good start.
Edit:
I can't wait to see what a real warzone looks like in the new KZ.

Hopefully, there will be air-sickness inducing ones.
You don't know much about this do you? What can you play on a 2005 GPU on a rig with 512MB of RAM? Nothing. The PS360 are still running ACIII, FC3 and alike. You only need a fraction of the power on a console to do what a PC can do, because the hardware is... STANDARD, and that leads to... OPTIMIZATION. Hell, remember when Crytek said no DX9 for Crysis 3? Bunch of hermits bursting in tears.By the time the PS4 comes out, how much do you think the 690 will be?.

I recently resubbed to PS+ and downloaded Sleeping Dogs and Vanquish etc. and vomit isn't the word when going from PC gaming back to consoles, i honestly thought i needed to get my eyes checked when playing Sleeping Dogs, the draw distance and IQ is abysmal compared to the PC version, trying to play it is like going from bright room into a dimly lit room, it takes your eyes a while to adjust :P.
Actually it looks roughly similar to Crysis 3 on a good PC.Â
That's great new  for the PS4 though.

Yeah I would say that sounds fair. All I know is it looks gorgeous for a console game, and cannot wait to see what this generation of consoles will bring :)
crysis 3 was held back by console hardware, when ps4 comes and multiplats are no longer ruined by old console hardware pc games will again blow console games out of the water.
I find funny that consoles have been rolled by pc games for 7 years and "graphics didn't matter" and they show a tech demo comparable to pc graphics and suddenly it matters
PC will always destroy consoles in graphics, ALWAYS, i don't see how is that hard to understand. The first year consoles are released the graphics may be similar, then they will get destroyed again.

I noticed that the demo was very linear as well. That's fine, but it really helps them push the graphics.
What struck me the most wasn't the pure graphical quality, but rather the artstyle. They went for a very clean look with lots of colors and post processing. This is a good change as it looks a lot better than just brown and bloom. The graphics were still impressive though.Â

Valid point ofc, yes it was linear, but I would expect nothing else from GG these days, that is their forte.

What I liked most were the particle effects, (and yeah the post processing too), just so much seemingly happening at once, really nice. Though again, GG has always been good with post processing too, so I guess I shouldn't find that a surprise.

Did people just hear 8GB and then go crazy without actually knowing what it means or how it effects other parts of the system? It does spell good news but we don't know what the CPU is like yet, or do we? Might have missed something.
But yeah the DDR5 RAM was a good choice and surprised a lot of people, and it does sound good for other parts of the system too. Now I just need a priceoint
