Best graphics so far? Lolno. I've seen a lot better graphics on PC and what really sucks is the poor anti-aliasing. What actually impressed me though, is the sound design and the art direction, also the story seems to be pretty amazing as well.

There is no such thing as a fact which has better art style since it all boils down to personal choice. Textures, resolution, animation, ect can be proven to be better but not art.CanYouDiglt
This, plus theyre comparing a game that takes place in New York to a game that takes place in a fictional location.

I think Hard Reset has a better gritty industrial look than the current-gen KZ games and yet, it still manages to have some real color. I'm not fond of the lackluster colors of the KZ 2 and 3. But, the sounds are what keeps me going on those two. The sound in the KZ games are great. KZ4 goes a long way in correcting my dislikes with KZ 2 and 3.

As for KZ4 and Crysis 3.......

I still think Crysis 3 is ahead although we haven't seen much of the real KZ4 yet.

He He. I know you love the indirect shadows in TLOU. But, you'll have to squint hard to even notice them on the PS3. ND should make a PS4 version or should've made TLOU PS4-exclusive and give it the works. All of ND's current-gen efforts deserve a next-gen remake.

They do indeed. And no indirect shadows aren't the only thing that took me away, I actually WoW'd a little when i first the TLOU.

It is the most impressive in terms of visual design, particle effect, polygon density and sheer draw distance with dense detail. Crysis 3 comes close but it's still current gen level design.

Ps4 can't even run crysis 3 on max setting so no ,quite frankly, the best looking game at the moment is crysis 3 PC.

"So many things are happening on screen" ... i lose faith in humanity, pretty much EVERYTHING you see in that trailer is all animated back drops. while its a step up from craptastic last generation consoles, its still a backdrop illusion which is far more of a testement to the graphics design/environmental developers than the actual power of the console. Honestly, im sure you consolites just saw shiny buildings and lots of inactive moving hover cars and thought "OMG THIS IS SO AMAZING".....

Really?  I can. :lol: In fact, it's the type of FPS I was weaned on.

But, I have my own quirks though. I'm getting tired of HUDs and enemy tracking. That's why I've been experimenting with Crysis 3 using no HUD, no crosshairs, no enemy tracking, no indicators, no ammo counters except at the weapon customization screen. So, if I forget how many rounds I fired, I start thinking, "Do I feel lucky." :lol:

This is it for the game screen. That's the way it should be...Very high immersion rate.

I don't mind having crosshairs in Hard Reset though. That game is pretty tough on Hard Mode.

Yea so far I think it's the most beautiful game I've ever seen. Crysis 3 is the most technically impressive and the only game that competes with KZ:SF but GG has better artists than Crytek and it shows. KZ:SF Vekta City reminds me of an epic scifi movie city like the one in Blade Runner. I hear GG wants to make more vibrant worlds with a lot of NPCs. I'm really looking forward to exploring the world they'll create this time without RAM limitations of the previous gen.I_can_haz

We obviously have different tastes. Me? I have a certain threshold where a game either looks good or not. To me, that looks good enough considering its stage of development.

In purely technical terms, no. Crysis 3 is still king. Heck, you could probably say Crysis 2 or Battlefield 3 are better as well.

And for those saying Crysis 3 doesn't have an art style, stop being dumb. Hyperrealism is an art style.

Considering it's a next gen game it should have AT LEAST looked better, Right Click and View it in a New Tab.

You have to compare that image to current-gen console games to consider the generational differences. It looks clean, well-defined*, and from my viewing of the 1080p video, metal textures look like metal which is one of my quirks. Right now, it looks like a middle-of-the-pack PC game which to me is still pleasing to look at. We haven't seen the game yet on the final silicon. There's a 50-50 chance the final game may look better than what it is now. So, I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt.

*Just an example of why I want the next-gen consoles now, I played the last map in KZ3's Botzone (while finetuning my keyboard and mouse). I couldn't find the exit out of my spawn point. It turns out, I was supposed to drop into a little ledge which led outdoors. The relatively poor graphics and resolution made the ledge hard to make out from the surrounding. I thought it was just a window. There's little or no sense of depth perception in the game. I'm hoping it's just me. But, I don't seem to see that problem with what I've seen with KZ4 so far.

I think you're concentrating too much on the pretty and well rendered backdrop outside of the tightly scripted and confined play area.

This. Best backdrop ever? Probably yes. But then when you see the actual gameplay area the textures and models didn't looked all that great. The lighting also seems to be very good.

Lawl yes, devs were using PC's with specs similar to a PS4 ( only 4 gigs of ram in the games they showed compared to the 8 gigs coming with the system) so they were using DDR3 for the cpu and gddr5 for the GPU, (not a unified memory system, non unified CPU/GPU) all rendered on computer running Windows with the API overheads The fact that the games looked THAT good at the PS4 unveiling is pretty mind boggling...they have months to make graphics look even better ( espcially now that they have a extra 4 gigs of ram to use) along with the unified memory and unified cpu/gpu instead of data traveling across the slow PCI E

The fact we have so many hermits in this thread damage controlling only proves how great KZ:SF looks. The game is unfinished and was shown on early devkits. I can't wait to see the final product. :P Something tells me we'll see more butthurt damage control when this game finally launches.

No, That's because GG fail as devs, How did Capcom achieve Deep Down graphics with the same hardware?

Theres a difference, one game took place in a small area( cave) compared to the massive city in being rendered in Killzone

On the PS4, I'd say yes unless the Deep Down demo was actually gameplay.
