So much for this being PS3's year. I am extremely dissapointed once in again in Sony. I know MGS4 hasnt come out, but the signs are there already that the game isnt going to be as huge as cows touted. Killzone 2 had trailers in 2005, yet now is coming in November 2009? GT5P = bumber cars and inferior to Forza 2 and PG4. MGS4 online also is very slow and reminds me of Lost Planet when it first came out. Haze well that is just disgusting. Still no AAAE, still no in-game xmb, and still all broken promises as I see it. Gears 2 will also be the # 1 shooter of 2008, so lets see if Resistance 2 can do better than Resistance which was an AA game, whereas Gears was GOTY. It sure looks like 2008 can be the year of the 360 once again.

Gamespot scores doesn't determine a game's quality, but one single man's perspective of that game.

I strongly disagree at the MGO beta being a dissapointment. I haven't had so much fun with an online game since Halo 3. GT5P got a 7.5 which isn't that bad and the final game wil likely score an 8.0 - 8.5, again, not bad. Haze isn't a great game, but it's certainly not a bad game either. And as for Killzone 2 being delayed - would you rather they release a buggy unfinished game or delay it until it's ready?SSJ_Nega

Very well put there. I played the HAZE demo as well and it actually went above my expectations. People kept saying how HAZE will flop. I thought it was better than assasins creed and ut3 and they both got higher scores. Online co op works very well. Its just a fun game. Already preordered. IDK why people want to bring down a good new ip thats been brought down to the table. Ya i understand after playing GTA 4 this game seemed rather bland. But thats how its going to be from now on so just get used to it.

Killzone being delayed is a good thing, providing the history the series has but at least now they'll be able to make sure it's actually playable -- which judging by the lastest videos seems to already be happening. Personally, I think Too Human looks like garbage but the game got delayed and now has a stable framerate and graphically is looking a lot better. DO YOU SEE? Rolz.

GT5 Prologue got 7.5 because it's the prologue to the actual game. It's incomplete. Lacking plenty of features, polish and content from cars to tracks. Good for them to test out the online platform with this though, hopefully online for the full game will be improved. Hopefully.

MGS4 Online is amazing. But an aquired taste, just like MGS3 online. Not everyone is going to enjoy it, besides everyone is buying MGS4 to complete the amazing saga's story. No to teabag nubz. Btw, he was disappointed because he couldn't create the type of living and destructible world that he wanted while still maintaing the visuals that were present in the first trailer. It's not the PS3, it's the him -- he sets the bar too high, he even said he was disappointed over MGS2 *Cough9.6*... Excuse me.

Out of a total random curiousity, how does a console actually affect the quality of a game when it's how a developer designs a game to fit the platform.

And by the way, he's disappointed because he wanted to create a game based on the early claims of 4D, 1080p dual output etc but...they were pushed to the wayside and scaled back. Doesn't mean it's bad by the way, it's like saying if Gears of War was designed to look life like and scaled back in order to fit on the X360 it's bad. Also, the gameplay elements and story elements he stated are all present within the game, the only thing he said he was disapointed was the fact that he wanted to have much bigger battlefields, he also wanted to have much more affects and a much larger number of things going on the screen at once. He has designed MGS4 to fit within the PS3, just his original vision before he ever got his hand on the Ps3 wasn't quite possible. On any console, that doesn't make the game any worse.

with all of those acclaimed AAAE's, why have the ps3 outsold the 360 in 07? why have the ps3 over took Europe and still can't get japan? why is the 360 barely beating the ps3 (with march being the 1st month in 08 that the 360 have won) in N.A.(the 360's domain)?

What are the 6 exclusive AAA games the 360 has here at GS? If you don't mind, I'd just like names to go along with the obviously superior gaming experience that the console provides.

i actually see only 4.... which includes forza 2 and pdz which are some weak ass aaae's in my opinion. realistically it has 2: halo 3 and gears. thats still better than what the ps3 has given though.

ahh you are right. lol this whole exclusivity thing is so retarded. if you cant get it on ps3 but can get it on 360 thats what makes it exclusive to me. i dunno how many times ive had this argument though. great titles like geow and bioshock cannot be played on a ps3 yet it doesnt count as a point in the 360s favor. makes no sense.

Well apparently you can't link it to your filtered chart. I had it filtered to the top 40 rated PS3 games; 38 of them being rated above 80%.

GT5P is very worth it to some people, but it isn't a full game. According to gamestop, the "cons" of the game include not enough tracks, prologue to the real thing, online suffers lag times, and no option to upgrade parts. At least 3/4 of those things we know will be improved since they were already options in GT4. So if the full game will satisfy these criteria without removing anything else from GT5P and GS stays consistent to their review, its a given that the score will be much higher unless they nitpick at things here and there.

MGS4 also was not a disappointment apart from it not having all the features available YET and it going down already. That game is a blast especially when you have people who you know and everyone is willing to play as a team. It's a whole lot better than MGOsubsistance and MGPO. Only problem with it so far is how the hell do two people die at the same time so often..

He was refering to this generation as a whole genius. Last 2 MGSs have been AAA too. Portable Ops and MGS3 rerelease both 9.0. It's definitely overall a AAA series under any measure.
