The incredible graphics, the replayability of the online, the CoD-like gameplay, the sentry bots and turrets, cloaked snipers, saboteurs that trick you into thinking they are your teamates, the unlockable extra abilities for your class, the class-system overall, the incredible amount of stats that are tracked, the destructibility, the honor ranks, the hit-detection, the death animations, the reload animations, the 32-player completely lag-free matches due to dedicated servers, is that enough so far?urdead18
So basically what sets it apart from everything else is things that have been already done by everyone else, cool.

That's funny, because I'm 10th Prestige in CoD4 with all the Golden Guns and all the challenges done.

The classes are VERY different in Killzone 2, you can't even consider the ones in CoD4 "classes" seeing as they don't have abilities specific to their 'class'.

In Killzone, if you pick the Scout, you can cloak and track people with the secondary ability, which you have to unlock.. That's what I mean by a class, not just changing the character model.

Engineer let's you set up turrets and repair ammo boxes, etc etc.

CoD4 doesn't have nearly as good graphics as Killzone 2, very little destructibility(cars), no dedicated servers, no 32-player matches, not as good hit detection, not even close to as good animations, the list goes on.

Can you show me a completely revolutionary shooter? Sheesh, it's an incredible game, is that so hard for some people to comprehend? No ONE game has done everything Killzone 2 has, it's taken the best from every FPS and melted it into one, then made it 10x better.

Yeh, this guy is right. Anyone who says that Killzone 2 doesn't look like it will be an incredible game that people will remember for years to come, is an XBOX 360 fanboy.

...again with the graphics, the game to me looks well detailed...monotone...unimaginative, just like many other shooters i didn't bother to finish

That must be a joke, its a huge upgrade and probably even setting a new standard for the genre of modern FPS's. But 10 times better than a mix of every shooter out there? That is a bit exagerated because to say that you must have played every single FPS game out there.

Of course I was exaggerating. I tried to make it pretty obvious...It will raise the bar for other FPSs though, as you said.
