Am i the only person who can see right through this thing? After watching videos about it for Dance Central, Kinectimals, Milo, and more I think people are fools for believing that it actually works like they say it works. most videos have been proven fake too from e3.

Dance Central: umm, so you dance to what you see on the TV... okay, you can do the same by watchin richard simmons or something. the kinect camera does show your whole body in the corner, but its laggy and verry small in the corner so you don't pay attention to it as if they don't wanna show you how bad u look while dancing lol.

Kinectimals: Skittles, please stop it tickles!!... i wonder what happens if u kick the cat in the head lol, probably nothing since its not programmed like they say it is... you're probably limited to doing few things, just like most kinect games...

Milo: Okay, if u watch the video with that ted guy, he lies soooo much!!! for example, he says something like "when you play milo, you're actually sculpting a human being". umm 1.) its not a human being. and 2.) no, you're not. Its almost like an interactive movie of a boy's boring life. should you squish the snail or not... hmm, you pick a path for milo and the story changes through predetermined outcomes. also, did u see how laggy it was throwing stones? you have no sence of power or aim when throwing them, its worse than the wii when u can just flick your wrist to golf and stuff...

ugh, i can go on... kinect is not what they say it is...

The only thing Kinect really opens up, as far as I can see, is controller free dancing. Pretty much every other type of game is better without it.

On rails horrible lag..oh a harry porter game would work so much better on Move,to begin it would not be on rails and you have an actual wand.

I dont' think Kinect exactly has a positive following here. Most people know it won't be good.

Yes all the same people who laughed at the Wii. I am not saying that Kinect will be anywhere near as popular as the Wii but the same people who laughed at that are laughing at this. No one knows how Kinect will perform, but I do know it will sell a ton for Msoft. I will have one since my kids will absolutely love it.

even though Kinect will fail with hardcore gamers (besides fanboys) it will still sell better then Move. sony have a really bad problem of not advertising their tech "properly"

I think where the problem lies is they want it to work a certain way, but with the technology at this point its just not there yet...so they are showing you one thing and trying to make you believe in another. I think once it comes out and people start playing it and reviews surface, it will slowly start to decline. Until then, people are going to buy it just word of mouth without seeing a single video.

But it's also a blu-ray player, and if entering the HD gaming era, it was a pretty obvious way to go. One can't really compare Kinect to the PS3 in a serious manner, at least not if they think about it for more than 5 second.

I know for sure it isn't worth $150. I'm not knocking what it does as a camera, it is certainly an upgraded Playstation Eye cam. But in no way should it be that expensive :/.

I haven't seen any worthwhile applications for Kinect for my tastes. The best game so far, Dance Central, can be done just the same on the PS Eye. I don't really care for 98% of PS Eye's simple experiences, and I highly doubt I'll be diggin anything Kinect has to offer (at more than 3 times the price of the PS Eye :|)

For those who want to experience Kinect and invest their money, it's all good :). Just one thing I'd like to leave those people with: If you didn't care for the PS Eye and it's games, chances are you won't care about Kinect ;).

we long time 360 owners have to shell out even more money or not! since i was smart and bought wii (the so called fad!) what happened to that!

ill tell you exactly why i think you should not be moved at all from both move and kenict sure they will have one hit game or two

they will not replace traditional games found on 360 and ps3 already which was ps3 and 360s main audieence to begin with

1the library none of the follwing games in this list will play any different then wii counter parts

kenict adventures-we already played a simular in fact numerous adventure games using motion o nthe wii -zelda mario

kenictimals -we all know who made the first pet sim , that uses motion -nintendo-nintendogs and on the wii ubisoft made puppy lvu and pets dogs 2 1 is actually can be compared to kenict adventures

kenict racing - dont even bother to be fooled by this mariokart/mod nation racer carbon copy in fact if you want you can get the same experience by buying a racing wheel ! for the ps3 or 360 or wii and is alot cheaper then 100-150 i paid only 29 dollars for a 360 racing wHEEL COMPLETE WITH PEDALS that works with almost all racing games, made already and any future one that dont require some 150 add-on

kenict sports -we played a game on the wii back in 2006-wii sports

kenict party again we played a wii game simular to this and are getting one again 2007-wii play 2010-wii party or marioparty2008

the various fitness and dance games have wii versions !

thats the run down on all of your line up oh and i forgot kenicts game party which you can already enjoy versions 3 of them for 19,99 each on the wii

2 the price of a 360 and kenict together varies

if you buy a bundle -400

if you buy -slim 450

if you already own a 360

add the price you paid for the 360 to the 150 price tag you got your answer my price would be 350 considering i bought a arcade for 199,99 but with hdd -same as the slim450

so wii would actually only cost you 50 more and you get alot more games to use your body with!

so you make the choice the choice is up to you

and for already wii owners i can tell you it is not even remotely worth it to buy a kenict even if you already own the 360

move is hard to describe it could be worth it or it could not be

we shall see right now the only 2 games that look worth it for move are socom and gt5

but thats better then all what 360s got combined , ,

and most importantly the chances of you regreting your purchases!

if the following happens

1 -commercail failure much like hd dvd players for 360 that people bought , what happened shortly after is not even worth discussing

2 the impending release of new hard ware and handhelds with better technology this is a no brainer

why spend the 150. if

the 3ds is a round the corner . you know as well as i do following the 3ds we will hear about the consoles that are next

what happens , ill tell you

focus shifts to 720 ps4 and wii 2 as well as 3ds once thier announced , kenict will fall ,

once they are priced your gonna wiish you saved your money,

and once their out , good bye kenict and everything before it

because somthing better is out!

3ds is the start of the 8th gen ,

so be warned , you go out pay for kenict which is more then double the price of a wii mote or ps3s move (move without cam is 70 bucks for the set 10 more then wii mote/nunchuck it is also 50 less for the full set-cam move controller and navigator

so yes be warned

we are gonna be in the 8th gen by march 2011 on the handhelds side and i predict 2012 for the consoles side

so you will have less time to enjoy support for kenict games , because we know microsoft they pulled the plug on xbox immediatelly after 360 came out

sony owners and wii owners wouldnt have to worry as 1 ps3 will stay out for a few more years after ps4 launch

and 2 wii games most likely will be bc with wii 2

so you got more draw backs on owning a kenict then you do owning other hardware

kinect is a fine piece of hardware with tons of capabilities for game integration. Of course nobody on system wars will admit that... because apparently launch titles are the only games a piece of hardware ever gets. Think the PS3 has tons of great exclusives? WRONG! only the launch titles count.

This is Microsoft we're talking about. They've spent their whole history not delivering what was promised and somehow succeeding despite that (Gates' ludicruously wealthy and connected family certainly didn't hurt any).

Gimmicky to the extreme. I'm only ever going to be excited about this sort of thing when full blown virtual gaming comes out.

No, as I said before, the ps3 had a couple of great games at launch as well as other useful functionality, and built its library, and functionality, from a strong foundation. Obviously, we have had better games come out since then. Kinect has nothing worthwhile set for launch, from what we've seen so far. The best thing that can be said about it seems to be that "it can be used with a regular controller." That might be a good thing because of how limited it otherwise is, but it's not a good thing considering that it's supposed to eliminate the need for a controller and costs $150.

As far as sales maybe, but no one knows.

Definitely not in the same way that the Virtual Boy was not supported, made people sick (as all 3d does including the beloved 3DS), or was way over priced for its time (Guitar Hero and Rock Band have set a new bar for the price of peripherals).

You don't know if the 3DS will make people sick or not. Saying all 3D makes people is a lie! It might affect SOME people, but definetly not ALL. Besides, you don't even need thos stupid galsses for the 3DS.
