Because Kinect exists for how long now? How many good/great Kinect games do we have? That's why. Not to mention the improvements to Kinect 2.0 are none existent.

I was impressed with the demo. Better responsiveness than any other Kinect game I've tried. Looking forward to playing it with my big eared 8 year old nephew. He makes these Kinect games so fun.

Why does it bother you so much that even the original Kinect was the best motion gaming solution for party/family games?.. full body tracking for Sports and Dance games were an obvious fit for the Kinect and people really enjoyed playing these kinds of games with their kids and other family and friends..

and contrary to your uninformed belief, the Kinect 2.0 has made tremendous improvements to what the original Kinect offered.. This is well documented so I can only assume that the troll is trolling when you try to pretend that Microsoft just repackaged the 360 Kinect with the Xbox One.. but for the sake of argument, the vast majority of people who have played the Kinect Sports Rivals demo (including myself) have all said that the motion tracking is leaps and bounds better than what was present on the 360.. 1-to-1 tracking and now they've added 3D facial modeling to the mix too.. all this is good news to anyone who is a fan of these kinds of games.. why bash? is it because you're a rabid cow that simply hates anything remotely positive about the Xbox One?.. Why do you hate a piece of plastic this much?..

will Kinect Sports Rivals appeal to the core gamer audience?.. probably not.. are motion sports and dance games even trying to appeal to the core gamer audience?.. probably not.. But I can tell you one thing: When I see that 3D facial modeling feature, the first thing I think about are games like Mass Effect's and Skyrim's character customization options and how you would potentially be able to scan your real face into the game using the Kinect 2.0.. now THAT's a feature that a core gamer could be interested in..

Also, Kinect Sports Rivals is skill based game. You win or lose, it all depends on you how good you are. It´s not just press X to win... Even Developers said that Kinect Sports Rivals is skill based game against other online players.

because your full blown overpriced piece of plastic did absolutely nothing to gaming and in 5 years it didn't improve for ****. If some family enjoys it then okay, cool, but im talking about gamers here and not a 8y old girl playing Barbie Adventures Kinect Edition. Not a single game improved the experience with this $150 piece of plastic, in 5 years ZERO games... this is a failure, a humongus failure 'for gamers'.

The only ones hyping this POS are the ones stuck with it and since nothing is coming to their system why not just hype some Kinect trash since we're at it? That is what you're doing. I mean, in five years not a single game used it correctly or improve gameplay of a certain game (don't even try bringing ME3 to this rofl), how much of a failure is that? This is as much of a failure as Virtual Boy, the only difference is that MS has money to force you get one (with every xbone yaaaay) and no matter what or how poorly its received, they can always spam them to the masses.

why do you change the subject? Last time i checked we were talking about an abomination called Kinect. PS4 has no games and what's available looks decent. Xbone has no games and what's available looks last gen. dat $500 tho oh that $500. When was the last time X1 received an exclusive worth mentioning? When will it get its first, Q4 2014 'IF' we're lucky? Oh such a good library of games...

@silversix_: the original Kinect wasn't for "core gamers".. anyone with half a brain could see that.. it was Microsoft's answer to the Wii. Just like Sony made the PS Move as an answer to the Wii.. The original Kinect and the PS Move were created to appeal to the Wii Sports market.. And yes, the people who bought a Kinect for a "Wii Sports" experience got exactly what they paid for and enjoyed that experience.. there's no failure there..

as far as core gamers, the Kinect added a few voice commands to games like Mass Effect 3 and Madden while the PS Move added light-gun aiming for games like Killzone and MAG.. nothing revolutionary there but nice options if you were interested..

again, why are you so angry that people enjoyed using the Kinect to have fun with their kids and family?.. and if that person also happened to be a core gamer, there were a few extra options there for him in terms of voice commands in a few core games.. but voice commands weren't the sole reason why that person bought the original Kinect. it was for party games.. the nice little extras like voice commands and being able to use gestures to navigate the 360 dashboard were just icing on the cake.. plain and simple..

Bottomline: the original Kinect was a success at what it was actually designed to do: provide a family friendly "Wii Sports" option coupled with a few voice commands and motion gestures.. the Kinect 2.0 is currently doing what it was designed to do: provide a universal and fully integrated voice/gesture navigation solution throughout the UI and for every app on the console, provide the absolute fastest way to navigate to a specific app or game on your console by using voice navigation instead of scrolling through a UI and the absolute fastest way to search for content (movies, music, or etc) without having to hunt-and-peck on a virtual keyboard or drag out a USB keyboard, provide a standard camera interface for video based services like Twitch broadcasting and 1080p Skype video, provide1 full body motion tracking for fitness, sports, dance, and party games, provide an IR blaster that can control and communicate with your TV, audio receiver, and cable/DVR box, and provide for a few other misc functions that can all be done without having to pick up and power-on a controller and/or plug in a microphone headset.. but most importantly: provide developers the incentive and tools to create innovative features for core games thanks to the Kinect 2.0 NOT being just an "add-on" like the original Kinect and like the PS4 Camera..

The only question right now is "is all that worth an extra $100 to you?".. fair question.. in my personal opinion and for my personal preference, yes absolutely.. I dont mind paying extra money for extra features.. but over time, price drops will answer that question for everyone.. eventually, maybe a year or two from now, the Xbox One and the PS4 will cost roughly the same price (heck, there was already a price cut in Europe) and essentially the Kinect 2.0 will be "free" for every Xbox One purchaser in comparison to a similarly priced PS4 that doesn't come with a camera..

And for anyone that doesn't believe the Xbox One and the PS4 will eventually cost the same, think back to the Xbox 360 and the PS3 launches.. the PS3 launched at a pricepoint that was roughly $200 more than the Xbox 360.. does the PS3 still cost $200 more than the 360 today?.. no.. did the PS3 have drop Bluray and sell a Bluray-less SKU to get the price down?.. no.. and guess what?.. neither will the Xbox One.. it will be able to keep Kinect and still match the PS4 pricepoint eventually.. that's just a fact.. which will essentially make the Kinect 2.0 FREE for all by comparison.. what will the complaint be then?..

People on this site are quick to complain about "another boring FPS", but when something comes out that breaks the mold, they complain about it being different. Every game that comes out doesn't have to supplement your ego. I think this game is going to be lots if fun to play with family and friends.

And those who say the kinect doesn't work were probably testing it out as an in store demo or at friends house who doesn't have it calibrated. Or more than likely they haven't tried it at all and are just parroting things they've heard from others (who have all probably not tried it). Because when it's calibrated, it's accurate about 95% of the time (maybe more) for me.

And so much for those new graphics king claims by Snugenz in damage control over Infamous Second Son on PS4, poor bastard really thought he was on to something.
