Kinect: Why The Xbox 360 Will Continue To Dominate This Gen

It isn't dominating and Kinect won't help it dominate.

It doesn't have the best games, the PS3 certainly has better games and for myself I'd take the Wiis library.

It CERTAINLY isn't dominating in sales, the Wii has near twice as many units sold and it's still selling like hot cakes.

A type of gameplay NO other console is bringing to the market? :lol: Well the Wii started motion control this gen, and Sony has Microsoft beaten by about 6 or 7 years, having released Eye Toy years ago, something Kinect rips off. Did I mention the Eye Toy is still available and will be used with Move to make it more accurate, and still has the ability to be used without a controller? Heh guess not.

Not really, if you watch this demo, you will know there is not a single game out there on the Move or Wii that has fully 3D interactive environment, scans your body and displays your height and dimensions of your body in 3D.

I say the most impressive and revolutionary game so far from the list is "Your Shape". It is by far the best way to utilize the tech. UbiSoft really knows how to implement Kinect functions into their game.You can interact with the objects/UI and environment around you in virtual world. Itscans your body and displays it with your height and dimensions of your body in the virtual world. It shows your body joins when youexerciseTai-Chi. It is the most advanced game out there yet on the motion control market. Here is the video of that demo. Very impressive:

I don't think Kinect is that big. I mean it will be like the Wii where it's OMG wow! In 2 weeks then after it will be boring. And the same goes for Playstation Move. I mean they are wasting their time...

And Kinect is slow responsive when you jump it takes 3 sec before you jump in the game. I wouldn't buy this :(

Ok I've had enough, cows you have been using the excuse the 360 launched a year earlier for years now and thats why its sales arebetter. Well its been 4 years since the ps3 launched and if it was catching up so quickly why hasn't it yet. PS3 is in last place and will be for the rest of the gen imo. Next the 360 is dominating in games theirs like 4 ps3 exclusives that appeal to me. You all are just trying to fool yourselves that you have an awesome system when you really don't, and god forbid we bring up 2006-2008 when the ps3 was pathetic. Yes it has great games now and it's not a bad system but the 360 surpasses it. But on topic kinect is over priced and lame.

With a one year lead their tied in games? Thats laughable. I think people forget that variable. Considering for a whole year if you wanted a next gen game you had to have an Xbox, their not doing that well against the PS3.It's not dominating in sells, i wish we could see the sales of hardware bought buy FIRST TIME customers and not people who have had their Xbox die.Kokuro_Kun

With game's like Halo Reach, GT5, Call of Duty Black Ops, Fable 3, Fallout NV, Crysis 2, Mafia 2, Assassins Creed, Medal of Honor and much more all getting released this year do MS and Sony think where going to buy this stuff.

I have all that on my Wii, and it got played until the novelty worre off, and that didn't take long. These are going to be the biggest two failures in the history of gaming

I just think it's funny that some people thought it was on par with KZ2. It has good character models thats for sure.
