GT5. That's it. That's my point. Anyone claiming ANYTHING about GT5 is false. We haven't a clue of how it will be. Most, if not all, opinions formed on GT5 are based on GT: Prologue's images.
Yet fanboy after fanboy in here claiming they know. Hmmmm.

Right, and nobody is really saying that. The Forza SERIES vs. the GT SERIES are at stake. This would mean GT5 is still a wildcard.
So, moving on:
Forza is pretty much the winner under the "simulation" category. The physics engine is considerably more refined and versatile, and allows quite a bit of extra customization, with a rather good damage enginer built on top of it, even if it's simulation scope is limited to the normal wear and tear of normal racing, and quickly diverges from reality under more, erm, extreme parameters.
Aside from this, so far Forza's AI has proven superior (bizarre starting grid quirks aside) to GT's.
Of course, this is not to say that GT sucks or any nonsense like that. It's a good series, and was the forefather of modern sim racing on consoles, even if the gravity is quite wonky in early american versions. It's just not Forza-good. This has a lot to do with the PS2, which was undeniably worse than the Xbox (and 360) when it came to processor might. GT5 should be able to give Forza a really good competition with the PS3's computing power.
