@Pedro: The exploration is absolutely top notch. There is always a hidden bandit base, smugglers, poachers, cave, grave to dig up, shrine, hunting spot, mercenary camp, herb garden, or random event popping up all over the place. Not to mention hidden chests, accidents/crime scenes, roadblocks, ambushes, wild animal encounters like dogs/wolves, local legends to track down, hidden treasures, snake oil salesmen, opportunists, gypsies, and traveling bands. These are all separate from any of the quests and side quests, but can sometimes lead into them or the discovery of others.
As far as quality is concerned the first game while amazing is definitely full of its fair share of frustrations and bugs. However, it did well enough a proof of concept so to speak to fund the new game which pushes the production values through the roof. The first game is great, but in a janky way. KCD2 is KCD with everything refined and and pushed to the Nth degree. That said, KCD was already one of my favorite games of all time.. and I like this one even more.
