  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 soared to the top ten single-player games on Steam, hitting 256,206 concurrent players.
  • It surpassed popular titles like Dragon's Dogma 2, cementing its position as a successful single-player game.
  • The game could potentially continue climbing the charts, with single-player games often peaking on the second weekend post-release. Link

Congrats to the devs.

Meanwhile,

Its a really good game, so many good choices and consequences.

I also love the way I get to tackle quests in multiple ways.

Bethesda needs to steal some of their senior staff to redesign Elder Scrolls 6

If only they had that level of foresight. I definitely have to give this game a shot sometime.

@Pedro: @mrbojangles25: Not sure why the both of you need to start this but this isn't the "W" word you are expecting here because this is accurate during the dark ages. Hell, even Game of Thrones done this kind of stuff anyway.

OT: Congrats to Warhorse Studios on this amazing milestone.

So it is fine in this context but not in fantasy/sci fi worlds?🤔

Your guess is as good as mine🤷‍♂️

All I know is medieval times/dark ages were always doing beyond the realm of many forbidden acts of Humanity.

@davillain: oh yeah, those popes got freaky, too.

Also the only W-word I am interested is "wenches". I actually kind of like the "dudebro" energy in this game, it's hilarious.

I mean, just look how excited Ser Capon is!

And then this old fart just wants to beat up kids...

Game looks good, but it's too slow and big. Got too much to play right now to jump into a ~100 hour long open world game with slow traversal and lots of dialogue.

So, the OP is just trying to stir up the woke folks, doesn't matter which side of the woke fence you stand on, you're all nuts.

So you mean that EAs conclusion about the lack of live service being the reason DA4 flopped isn’t correct!? Shocking…

Or these are RPG's and people can play them however they want.

It can be argued that it is with such large numbers of people playing it.

Congrats to the devs. I have the first one and gave it a brief shot but bounced off it. The tutorial is not great (or maybe I just skipped too much). Must try it again at some point.

It's a great game and I have absolutely no problem with giving options that you don't have to take. I for one won't have to deal with any LGB crap. I'm 60 hours in and the worse thing I've had to deal with is finding out an old herbalist that was an ex fist fighting champion is gay so he was outcast. Who cares? As long as it isn't forced and is an option for those looking for that experience then that's A okay. I told him it didn't bother me, and took the options saying he needs to stay true to himself and then I took off.. probably never to see that character ever again.

I've never had an issue with games that give you options but don't force your hand one way or the other. Isn't that the point of a game like this? To choose your own path and have the freedom to do so? There are so many options to do anything and everything in this game that I hope they try making a KCD MMO.

When you put role-playing into your role-playing game, people dig it, who could have known? not Bioware at least

I played the first one and just couldn't get into it. I enjoy many "rpgs" but i don't want to be "simulating" a midevel lifestyle. The first one was too hardcore for me. I feel like KCD is a larpers wet dream. I just want to have fun. I dont want to invest 10-15h to start feeling like I'm having fun
