I think it was more than just kids that played that game on the PS2. I remember the first one (didn't play the second) and I thought it was a pretty good game. Honestly I can't believe Sony couldn't lock this up as a multiplat at least....they are losing their touch. This is actually the first signficant title the Wii has got. It'll be intresting to see if Squre ends up regretting it if the sales don't meet expectations.

I really don't think Square are in the business of doing multiple versions of the same game. If it goes to Wii it will be exclusive as you can't just port the Wii game to PS3 or 360. It will sell enough on Wii for them not to even care about PS3/360 versions. Plus it's a good fit for the Wii

If it is indeed kingdom hearts..it might be a spinoff because:

1) From the nintendo gamecube to the wii..I've never seen S-E give any of the main franchises to them.

2) The main kingdom hearts team are working on ffvs13 so they do not have the time to develop.

3) Seeing that kingdom hearts was born on the ps2..I don't see the logic in giving wii kingdom hearts 3 where it may not sell well.

that would be so devasting to the series its unbeilvable i dont even own a ps3 and i do own a wii and i no KH3 would be garbage for the wiiSaintJimmmy

Yeah I was looking forward to seeing it with next gen graphics. I certainly am not going to play that game with the waggle controls so I guess I won't play another KH game again.

Your third point.......I don't agree. If the game is equal in game experience and hype to Super Mario Galaxy......it will sell very well.

If they do it, fine by me. But they are more than likely still in preproduction with the game since the team is currently working on FFVSXIII and Nomura said he wasn't going to start on KH3 till they were finished with Versus. So we (probably) won't hear anything on the game till 2009, possibly TGS.

the logic is in sales. why spend all this money on a system that is not doing well in Japan, where Kingdom Hearts sells well. they pretty much guarantee a hit if its on the wii in Japan.

how do you relate that to KH? Even then I dont' expect KHIII to be very good on Wii. for a game which requires you to button mash 99% of the time it's going to be painful trying to waggle your way through the game :lol: Don't get me wrong, KH does have a fantastic soundtrack and quality story..but lol.Kratos_OMEGA

I'm guessing there *will* be a Kingdom Hearts exclusive game for the Wii, but it wont be KH3.

Square Enix are developing exclusive Kingdom Hearts titles for the DS, PSP and mobile phones simultaneously (all 3 exclusive to their system) and they are all off-shoot tales which have direct connections to the Kingdom Hearts mythology and uber-story. Check out wikipedia for more info.

I really wouldnt be surprised if the wii exclusive KH turned out to be a chain of memories-esque side-story (directly linked but not a 'number' main entry) and the actual Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released either PS3 exclusive (Square Enix sure love the PS3 and the history of the franchise on a sony machine) or multi-plat on the 360. The makers tend to like adapting their game and its story to the system - chain of memories suited to the gameboys control system using the cards idea, the DS exclusive will be touch-sensitive and 'KH: coded' is using its story as a means of making the limited controls and market of mainstream mobile phone games fit. I wouldn't be surprised if they followed a similar vein with the wii Kingdom Hearts - tying the controls and gameplay into the story somehow.

It would be n even bigger shame to see the game be released for a flop console that no-one owns and fail to make much money due to the consoles tiny userbase of teenage cows and high development costs

except for the fact that SquareEnix has been working on ff13 even before the ps3 came out. that ship has already sailed.

maybe they see that its not doing so well in japan, and jumped ship to Nintendo. maybe they see the low sales of the ps3 in japan, where most of their demographic is and would instead like to give their game a chance to be enjoyed by more people by putting it on the wii. there's alot of 'maybe' in my statements, lol. we are all just speculating right now, lets see what really happens in the next few months

I doubt NP would be the first ones to get the first reveal of KH3 on Wii if it were that. This could very well be Kingdom Hearts 358/2 on DS.bc1391

Exactly. Whatever SE has planned for KH3, they will more than likely reveal it at either E3, TGS, or their own little convention. The series is fairly popular, and as one of their bigger franchises they wouldn't just reveal it through an issue of NP.

I hate to say it, but in this case, he's right. Both of their focuses are on a younger/broader demographic than the other two consoles, so the game would fit both their interests. In other words...
