Kirby Epic Yawn was a wasted Nintendo game

It's an excellent game, although I don't think it really feels like a Kirby game. Sort of like how Star Fox Adventures seems to throw Fox into a game that doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him. Epic Yarn is very creative in terms of its art style, and the platforming action itself is well done, if not a bit on the easy side. The thing that really disappointed me is that you couldn't eat your enemies and steal their powers. But, that's just me.

I think of it as a spin off. It originally was never a kirby game after all. I thought it was a really well made game aimed at being an introduction to platforming but I enjoiyed all the elements immensely. Its a slow paced game meant to be enjoyed and not just run through. The lack of difficulty for me wasn't a problem and I though it had great boss battles to boot.

I still need to get this game for my nieces, it looks so adorable and i know they will love it :)

I also need to get Return to Dreamland since it looks like a much more traditional Kirby game, honestly both games look fun.

I've only played about an hour of it and it can get boring. Still looks pretty but it's not my type of game.

...As if it wasn't evident enough that Kirby sucked all his life; literally. Nintendo managed to screw over what would've been the last good chance of reviving a franchise by releasing yet another steaming pile of sh!t game like Kirby Epic Yarn which was as much of a slap in the face as really crappy platformers like Paper Mario.

Only sheep are fond of so-called artistic directions in gaming; which would explain why Paper Mario was rehashed from the 64 to the GC and on the Wii. Doubtless, Paper Mario and Epic Yawn will indeed be rehashed once more on Wii-U.

Of course, real gamers are enjoying games with actual graphics and fantastic gameplay such as Uncharted, Infamous, LBP, Journey, Gears of War etc.

Why on earth would anyone want to play such a sh!t smeared poor excuse of a game like Kirby sucks Epic Yawn Balls?

Kirby's return to Dreamland was even bigger suckage. Afterall, it was a "Sonic and the Black Knight" clone.

I just have to say that Epic Yawn is what me and my friend called it too! We rented the game for Wii a while back and cooped through it in a few sittings but the punishment free gameplay removed any tension (same issue with bioshock, but with that you can turn the chambers off and earn achievments for it to boot). Overall I though it was overrated and deserved a 7.0 by Wii standards at best.

to be honest its proboly one of the most boring games iv played. It actually put me to sleep. I actually have more intrest in the other kirby wii game.

So out of all the games of the Wii Library, you believe that KEY is wasteful?

Thanks TC. Already bidding on ebay on Kirby's Epic Yarn, hope Nintendo utilizes that precious money for more games like these.

I haven't played this one, but Return to the Dreamland was quite fun.

You know what was a wasted game? Warioland Shake It.
Because nobody even noticed that it released. I had way more fun with it than New Super Mario Bros for example, it was far superior in level design, variation in challenges, sound design, visual design, yet people ignored it.
