Which one was worse, both had incredible hype surrounding them and both were incredible flops, but what was actually worse? Give legit answers as well!

Knack wasn't hyped much it was a kid game from the start. Ryse was a technical Graphical Hype King that turned out to be a sub-1080p tech demo from Cryteck on a platform that was less than able to run it fully
Actually knack is worse. From what I have been reading ryse does not completely fail at what it attempts to do and it's biggest sin is that it's really repetitive, but knack fails badly at what it tries to do. Knack is really repetitive, ridiculous cheap and difficult and broken to an extent(especially on higher difficulty levels) from what I have been reading about that game.It completely fails at following the style of gameplay introduced by games like crash in the 90's.If you are talking about hype ryse is worse because it was hyped way more than knack.
@epic-gamerz: tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies........ the first game bought, by the first ps4 owner was...... knack. Here, like ryse, many didn't take it seriously. But it was hyped by Sony, and idiots. Like ryse.
Ryse without a shadow of a doubt. Knack may have had problems, but at least it had gameplay.
No one was hyping Ryse. Knack was considered to be the next great 3D platformer. lol
Other way round. Knack got nothing whereas Ryse was pushed as "the first big next-gen transmedia IP."
Knack is playable if you're drunk or a kid. Ryse is as playable and enjoyable as Big Rigs and that is a bit insulting Big Rigs cuz that game was actually funny as fk how broken it was. Ryse is just a chore trying to be a system seller when its clearly a joke of title.
I played Knack on Hard mode and it made me want to pull my teeth out. Incredibly bland and an incredibly stupid story that made the game feel like a chore. It's a bummer too because it had potential, but it was incredibly underwhelming with the combat and the level design. Dodge, attack, dodge, attack...pretty repeatitive if you ask me. I also thought the game ran poorly, multiple times the framerate completely went haywire when multiple tanks were on the screen.
Haven't played Ryse, but I think it looks and probably plays better than Knack
Even most Lemmings acknowledged that apart from it's beautiful graphics and awesome setting Ryse was an empty shell of a game but while it looked and played like shit Cows still tried to hype that steaming turd called Knack .
No one was hyping Ryse. Knack was considered to be the next great 3D platformer. lol
that is a bold faced lie and you know it

you got knack confused with killzone,
both are terrible in there own ways,
but aren't all launch titles
Not sure didn't play knack. Ryse was nice on the eyes needed a lot more dev time maybe the dlc will be better.
From what I've seen and heard, Ryse appears to be much worse. Despite Knack being incredibly simple and bare bones, Ryse looks to have nothing of substance to it at all.
Haven't played either, but I keep hearing that both games are better than 4/10 games.
I've only played the demo of Knack so I can't fully comment on it. Ryse has been pretty good thus far. But it does need something added. The game play is repetitive. I'm only about 90 minutes in, but I'd give it a 7 so far.
i've owned and played both, and while neither game is a flop in my opinion, Knack has the better replay value, only because of the variety of relics you can find through each play through that allows you to play as a different and in most cases a more powerful incarnation of Knack.
Don't think anyone would want to keep replaying the Ryse campaign over and over again for any reason.

I don't recall anyone hyping Knack.
Stupid fanboys, Ryse is a cool game, I mean, it's a 3RD person ROMAN game, not some boring, linear first person shooter where you die in seconds from concentrated fire like Poopzone, but then again i'm kinda biased because i absolutely HATE first person shooters. I used to enjoy playing Transformers the game more than BF3 because its first person.
It's pretty much obvious Knack is the choice after seeing the Usual Gang of Bovine Idiots pretending like they weren't hyping the game when it was shown at the 1st PS4 reveal....
@killatwill15:
I watched the launch on TV and that kid who got the first PS4 said he was getting Knack. That's the only thing I know about that
@bforrester420:
I remember it. And threads after about Knack outselling Mario.
I've seen the threads about Knack outselling Mario, but that's more a statement of fact than hyping the quality of Knack. I think that's a testament to popularity of the PS4 is the relative unpopularity of the Wiiu than to the quality of Knack.
I don't recall hype of Knack before its release, but that may just be because I had no interest and didn't pay attention.
I'd say Ryse, at least with Knack it was pretty well defined as a game you can blast through with your kids, Ryse actually takes itself seriously.

I didn't either. It was small, but the game was mentioned, by some who will now say they never did.

I was also a lurker back then. I've noticed you remember trends and posters' tendencies more when you're actually involved in the conversation, lol.
@bforrester420: Come again? I don't quite get what you mean?
I assumed you were an Indiana native due to your screen name.
Knack had no hype and still failed expectations.
Ryse was rightfully bashed from the start, and the story is cliche ridden mindless summer blockbuster that makes Michael Bay look like an Oscar award winning in screenplay.
Of the two, I would say Knack, just because the game feels more stuck in the past than any Mario game ever was.

Lol no, it's after a fairly mediocre band i used to like. I've kind of stuck with it despite how they were pretty much a one hit wonder. I hadn't a clue till recently that it refers to US state so i get this sometimes.
I'm from the UK btw so what you posted sounds like jibberish to me haha :)
crash in the 90's
If you originally though the gameplay was made to be "like" that you may need to see a doctor. Knack was going after if anything, Sierras Crash instead of Universals and Naughty Dogs crash.

The devs talked about creating a game like crash when knack was in development and they failed miserable at their goal.
