Kojima: Metal Gear Solid Rising at an 'experimental' stage.

Meaning they have no idea how to make a stealth game with Raiden. :P

Im guessing theyre trying to figure out how to blend stealth and action so it still feels like an metal gear game, but has the swordplay.

It shoiuld be really good if done right though. stealth ninja type stuff. sneaking behing a couple enemies then preforming a move to take them both out. It'll be like CQC in mgs3 but with knives.

I'm curious to see if MGS R can be on par with MGS 4 on terms of graphics or better as promised.

This is doubtful given the current hardware limitations of the 360, but we'll have to see.

What? You didn't need to be a PC gamer to consider some of the areas in that game an eyesore. I recall one particular area with vegetation were the anisotropic filtering was so bad the floor had this annoying shimmering effect, even console gamers would notice that.

LOL, i have a friend who own a xbox and for him its best console, he dosent even care that mutch for video games.

but MGS for him is the best game ever, he even said he cried by the end of mgs3.( eventually he got a ps3 to play it)

i am personally looking forward to both MGS:R and MGS:PW, being a huge fan of the series cannot afford to miss 1 game :)

After the way Kojima dissed the 360 crowd he would be lucky to sell any copies of this new game unless it scores around 9.5-10. He bet it all on the PS3 and now that the tables have turned a bit he comes running to multiplat development. Much like Crytek the same old tricks aren't going to work this time so they better come up with the goods.

I don't think Kojima dissed the 360 crowd at all, but i'm still not convinced Kojima isn't a fanboy, I don't even think it was his choice to go multiplat, I would bet Konami made him, they are probably wondering why they have this great franchise and they aren't making use of this 360 market, especially since so many people have requested it for the 360.

Metal Gear Raiden Rising feels somewhat cynical and forced to me. He didn't even want it to be a proper MGS game. Its sounds like a one off to get the crowd off his back.

He looked so uncomfortable at Microsofts E3.

He clearly prefers any PS branded console, I say let him stick to the PS if he wants, he will only be less creative with it if he doesn't want it on the 360.

I sound bitter but i'm not, I played the first 2 games on the PSOne and Xbox and I didn't enjoy them, so i'm probably not getting it for that reason, i'll see how it turns out. I'm looking at this one down the middle and reading inbetween the lines, he just doesn't seem enthusiastic about it to me.

EDIT: I actually hope Kojima all the best, because people work better on what they want with people they want and platforms they want. I hope i'm wrong and this isn't being made for the wrong reasons.

Hmm I thought it was going to take place between MGS2 and MGS4, answering the questions about how/why Raiden looks the way he does in MGS4.

I assume (or hope) that the experimenting is so that they can do something totally new and different that no other game did beofre. But if its still in that stage in development then I don't plan on seeing MGS: Rising until 2011 or 2012.

Guess it depends on the type of gamers. Most of the people I know with 360's are the type of gamers that only play popular games like Halo, Gears, COD, GTA, Sports games etc... not that there is anything wrong with those games. The few people who I know with 360's that play good games that aren't so popular are the ones that really want a PS3/MGS4. As a matter of fact, I have a lot of friends that plan on getting a PS3 this holiday season and most of them said that MGS4 will be one of the first games they get.

So a game of raiden ninja after MGS4, when in MGS4 ending e was "restored" to a normal body?
