Kojima is a genius, hopefully he'll work on some games for the Natal.

[QUOTE="aaronmullan"]Natal is just a gimmick.dog_dirtpeople said that about TV, Walkmans, mp3 players, the internet, CD players, gramaphones. they were wrong too Whoare these "people" you talk of? Anyways, I think what will keep natal from being a big hit outside the few casual gamers who are willing to pay the higher price for X360 + NATAL instead of going for the tried and tested Wii, is the lack of a physical input device. I can imagine how easy it could be for the software to misread your actions. Like someone said in a previous thread, imagine if you went to scratch your cheek and the game thought you made a command? That's would be annoying. With a controller you have direct control over which input the game picks up and ignores because if you want to scratch your cheek you can always just drop the controller. With natal, it will be a gamble each and everytime :P
I too, am blown away by motion controls. Its just groundbraking, fantastic, orgasmic. Why did it take so long for someone to think this up? The years of outdated traditional controllers are over, the revolution is here. God bless Microsoft. Adopt me, mighty KojimaThunderdrone
motion control existed in 1986s duck hunt though it was not the same as it is now , it was limited to a gun ,
as it was for those other lightgun shooters ,
the wiimote is actually a step up from those
bc it can be used for more then just light gun games or fpses ,
it can be used for racing games , platformers sports etc
We'll have to wait and see. It'll be up to the developers and how good the hardware actually works.
It's not going to revolutionize ALL gaming. If Wii proved anything, tacked on controls can hurt a game, while when used properly it can be quite effective.
It could also be annoying? Some people like to play in the dark, and some like to sit down and relax.
It might revolutionize the orange clothing market and/or the clearance section.

and people also said that about Laser Disc, Minidiscs, Electric Abdominal Belts, Virtual Boy, etc. They were right about Gimmicks too.
UNTIL THERE IS SOFTWARE for us gamers to actually see/play, I don't care. IT's cool about Kojima liking it, but whatev.
For the record, Kojima said similar things about the Wii...
And how many Wii's have been sold? lol. Just because the Wii might not focus on core gamers, doesn't mean that it's a failure. Heck, I hate the system and wish I could sell it (wife refuses) but that doesn't mean it didn't revolutionize gaming. The problem Nintendo had is that it's controller alienated hardcores for casuals. The 360 has the ability to appeal to both.
Natal is nothing special. I had an eyetoy on my PS2 (when i had one) which could do pretty much the same thing. Natal is more advanced but when it comes down to it it won't be much different. Milo was impressive, but everything else was horrible (slow response, boring games etc..[much like the current generation of consoles and their wireless controllers, they are too slow])

We've been playing games with tacked on controls forever, some of them praised to heavens despite having bad controls. See all Dual stick shooters for a perfect example. Horrible input method for accurate gameplay, no-one cares though.
Interesting. I was extremely cynical about Natal, and don't plan on running out to buy it when it comes out, but if it gets enough dev support and AAA titles, it would effectively be a new console purchase and might be worth it.masterpinky2000
I feel the same way, Show me the "Amazing" games, and then I will be there.

Oh yes, it does, most definitely, but I'm not going to get Psyched up on my own imagination.
I refuse that con.
