Hopefully he can move onto bigger and better things.
That's a toxic environment that nobody should have to work in.
I wonder since NX might be worlds most powerful console if Kojima will come make a game and get it featured in Smash Bros for NX.
One step closer to my holy prophecy coming to pass. Cows gon be buttmad when Kojima reveals that MS bought them, but he's embargoed and under a noncompete clause until december, so cows butthurt will likely be posponed until then.
But first, give us the rest of MGSV!
@mesome713:
Not the Silent Hill brand, no.
But $3 billion for Kojima himself, Kojima Productions (reformed under MS), the rights to the Fox Engine, and the rights to what P.T. was going to end up being, which is in no way required to be married to the Silent Hills name or brand?(which was a reboot anyways)? None of that sounds unreasonable in a world where MS dropped $2.5 billion on Minecraft.
@StrongDeadlift: I could see Microsoft going after Kojima, would help them a bunch in being more balanced. Not sure how he would like being maybe exclusive to Microsoft and Windows, but im sure Microsoft could help change his mind.
It's not official.
Actually, Konami reported Kojima's just on vacation.
It could be PR...or the truth.

Kojima Is on Vacation and Still an Employee, Says Konami
Publisher claims reports of Metal Gear creator's departure are not accurate.

Considering how he goes over budget and takes way too long to make a game is anyone really clamoring to get him on board? Oh boy can't wait to work with Kojima so the project can go over budget and take too long.
I love the guy but he burns money.
We welcome you into the Sony Brotherhood, Kojima. Looking forward to Siren Hills.
LOL yeah right.
Let's hope hope he left Konami like Platinum left Capcom, i.e. "who's coming with me?", and leave with everyone of talent and a history of synergy by your side to guarantee success wherever one is headed, and also to scorch earth with your ex-employer (which is what they did too). Not like Tomonobu Itagaki left Tecmo, by himself, without his veteran team who he knows the strengths and weaknesses and how to manage them to make a great game (they seem to be getting along just fine without him despite the lack of his iconic egotistical rock star presence). It'll be interesting to see which route Kojima takes and whether he's worth a damn by himself or if he rebuilds his old team privately; I'd hope he'd rebuild his old team, or try to. After all it worked for what became Platinum, didn't for Itagaki.
