[QUOTE="wv06"][QUOTE="New-Gamer"][QUOTE="ReturnOfShinobi"][QUOTE="wv06"] [QUOTE="xxastrocreepxx"]Its a reference to MGS1. How stupid do you have to be not to realize that? This really makes me wonder how many cows are hyping this because its the only great exclusive the PS3 has instead of actually being fans of the series.EnigmaticBeauty
How stupid do you have to be not to realize that if this game was ported it would take more than one disk (5 to 6 actually) on the 360. It is praising the new format and taking a shot at all others
You really dont know anything about MGS4 do you, or compression in general? The only reason why MGS4 is so big is due to uncompressed audio, most HD films are normally around 15 gb in audio, whereas only the other 5-10gb is actaully video
I love hearing the 5 - 6 disc fanboys. So incorrect, so silly. They don't understand technology at all.
Your saying your format which a smaller disc can play any game with a larger disc capacity, that is not true.. the DVD9 is outdated. I will never understand how some 360fanboys think its a good thing to have LESS space. Whether your format can or cannot run certian games the fact is with the Blu-Ray pushed to the limit the 360 needs multiple disks.
Bioshock 15 hours on a DVD 9.... Metal Gear Solid on a Bluray = 15 hours... conclusion... size of the disk matters not, quality of the game matters.
Out of mild curiosity, because the Xbox can do 1080p with it's games and PS3 only supports 720p for the time being, if Metal Gear was ported to the 360, it would look better, wouldn't it? Or have I misunderstood resolutions?
First off 360 can't do 1080p in most games although it will upscale it for you(and it's pretty much the same deal on PS3). Second were assuming that these are new textures every level/cutscene, and Bioshock re-used alot of textures to save space (although they look sick) so you can't compare length of the game to filesize at that point....I mean in that sense you could say GTA4 should be the same size as LO...but it isn't.
Basically were at a crossroads. The new format isn't developed enough to warrant enough of an advatage over the new one to use it, but we are starting to see just a few of it's capabilities in gaming.
