I don't know why people are so confident that MGS5 is going to be announced when Kojima said that cycle of games has ended. I think all we're going to see in MGS4's aftermath are branch-offs like this one.

I don't think it'll be Big Boss since he all ready did that. But you're right that it could be anyone. There's so many possibilities with that universe.

Remember all those teasers we saw over the past month? It wasn't the new PSP game. It was, in fact, a completely new series in the Metal Gear franchise.

Titled Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the game appears to mainly focus on the character Raiden, as there were no shots of Solid Snake at all in the extremely vague announcement teaser shown.

While this news comes at the Microsoft presser, no announcements of exclusivity were revealed, so for now, expect this to be multiplatform, or a timed-exclusive at the very least.

The game is indeed exclusive to the Xbox 360. Sorry, Sony fans.

I don't think it'll be Big Boss since he all ready did that. But you're right that it could be anyone. There's so many possibilities with that universe.

hey. i'm just going by what ign said. the biggest part of the announcement isn't the exclusivity, or lack thereof, but the fact that a ps3 is no longer needed. one can get all the big franchises on a $200 console. not just any franchises, but former key sony franchises (not exclusives.) this is just history repeating itself. all gen long MS has been stealing support away from sony in favor of the 360.

The damage control in regards to this is hilarious! Even if there is an announcement of MGS 5 for PS3 tomorrow, when Rising is released and it makes so much more money as a result of being multiplat, do you really think Konami will leave MGS 5 money on the table to stay "loyal" to Sony? It doesn't make financial sense. This is the beginning of the future of multiplat MGS. cainetao11
