Picking up the HD Collection, probably the only one i've been interested so far...oh and i'm also waiting for ZoE HD Collection.
I don't think they're milking. And I very much look forward to the HD collections. I can't wait! And Silent Hill Downpour I will watch closely.
its kinda of weird that capcom is the only japanese company to do pc ports. how oddDownpour should be comming to PC damnit

A lot of people seem to agree the older SH's were better than Shattered Memories. I hope they are right. And I want to be frightened, apparently the older SH's will do that. And sadly, none of them will be as good as shattered memories.

Well they did bring Homecomming to PC. I see no reason to not bring Downpour as well.
I'm interested in the HD collection since I've never played them, but I played some of 4 and it was probably the scariest game I've played (though it was one of my first, so it might not be as scary now). Shame 4 isn't in the collection, but like I said, I never played the other ones.
Downpour also looks pretty fantastic. It looks like Yahtzee's dream SH. New character with no relation to any other in the series, personalized horrors, change in the fog and old locations for new areas and rain, emphasis on running and hiding as much as combat, etc.
I don't even know if I'll get a Vita yet. I really want one, but even if I do get one I'll probably focus on grabbing as many cheap, downloadable PSP titles as I can (while using the 5 I got from the welcome back package), then buying PSV titles once they go down in price.

Even though I'm very pro multiplat for every system, I always kind of feel reluctant on the PC side when people complain.
I feel bad my PC brethren can't experience a great game (like I do when someone with an Xbox and a budget can't play Amnesia), but then I look at the specs of whoever complains and all I can think about is how they don't have any of today's incredibly cheap consoles to play it on when they have such a stellar and pricey rig.
No offense, but its like someone buying a nice sub sandwich and adding all the bacon, cheese and more cheese for $1 each, then complaining they can't get any cheap fries for another $1 because they spent $20 on one sandwich and got 3 sets of the same cheese for $3 for that sandwich.
All that said, I'm sure it will come to PC later if Homecoming is any indication, so I wouldn't be worried.
Me = curious. I feel like Downpour is going to be..not very good. There's always hope, though. Survival horror needs some help now that Capcom is content on going dudebro with Resident Evil and making it a TPS. CasualMike
As long as Frictional games exists, terrifying survival horror will always exist. Heck, the Dead Space games are alright and tense, and I think the Souls games could count if only because of the dark setting, grotesque monsters and fear of death.

I will agree SM is a great game, but I still find the orginals better. Again thats not to take anything away from SM.
Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a top-down action co-op game by the looks of that it. Staying clear of that one.
How do you know?[QUOTE="locopatho"][QUOTE="goblaa"]

Because they won't play the same at all.
Well, naturally, given that the HD collection includes actual Silent Hill gameplay.
And me being the dumbass I am will be buying all of them the day they come out. Even the crappy top-down shooter.

well, that one aside of course. But Downpour is just going to feel like a step back.

Well of course. It's another outsourced game. Konami lost two of their most important teams this gen. Ironically, since they lost Team Silent they've released more "Silent Hill" games than ever.

I can't justify spending $300 + $60 games + DLC + high priced accessories for something that ONLY does gaming. Especially when I only want a handful of titles.Call me cheap all you want, but my $800 PC was worth every penny. I just don't feel I can say the same about a console at the price point they're still at 6 years into the generation.
