I don't know about that. The DS was the biggest selling portable amongst adults. The psps biggest market was young teens, which are essentially children. So I'd say Sony has the bigger shoes to fill. Nintendo has always done a good job with the portables, in that they really cater to all ages.

-Bluetooth is supperior to WiFi for local area multiplayer, it's much easier to set up

-BT headset support (you can find vieos about it right now)

-PS3 controller support? (i know PSP Go had such function)

-Other wireless accesories support

......and also Data transfer between other devices with BT.(videos,photos,music)

With the PSVita i'll say it again, handhelds were never this. PSVita > everything thats out currently.

All those games and nothing interesting to play.

If it builds up a good install base in the west this thing is golden. To be honest, now that I know the Uncharted game is good, I'm excited to see the new Bioshock title. They have a lot announced that we haven't seen yet, which is a good sign. Once it starts selling we should see a lot of initial support.

The biggest difference between the 3DS and PSVita at that price tag...PSV looks like it's actually WORTH the money where the 3DS looks and feels cheap and flimsy made with cheapo plastic and doesn't have a glossy finish to it. Bread_or_Decide

Na, the 3DS could feel better, especially given the $250 launch price. I used my DSlite--and that has better contruction that the 3DS. I'm not a fan of the glossy innards, and the way the unit closes just doesn't feel right.

[he buttons are flimsy. The 3D slider feels like it can fall off at any moment. Thing is just damn cheap and charging 250 was highway robbery on Nintendo's part...proven by the dramatic price drop later on. Bread_or_Decide

I have zero problems with the buttons, and I'm super impressed by the analog stick/slider. It never should have costed $250. I've said it before, but I think the cost reasoning dealt with the wiiu, in that Nintendo wants to charge more for the home console. The $250 3DS price was perhaps a ways of weaning customers into paying more for a Nintendo product, which are generally pretty budget priced.

No, it is far more likely that the hardware is being downgraded due to the under expected sales of the 3DS. I don't see wiiu going for anything higher than $300, maybe even $250.
