Wait, what? No way a Watch Dogs sequel just announced is coming out this year without delays.

Watch Dogs was a great idea. Ubisoft had no idea how to execute it. After an hour or 2 hours in the gameplay became like any other Ubisoft game. Repetitive. Repetitive. Repetitive. Go to area where all the enemies are the same as the last mission and take over the area. Rinse and repeat. Basically a chore to play.

I'll wait and see if Ubisoft really can make a game that isn't repetitive and has interesting gameplay before I decide to get this.

The only reason WD is getting pushed up is because the B team for assassin's creed is so bad and wanted more time to copy A team

2016's UBIsoft game...

Watch dogs was not a sustainably good experience... It was new ip though and that at least offers potential for fixing alot of the games shortcomings and still have some impact.

Eroica is going to be there, day one, buying the super duper limited edition, with iconic scarf.

Hopefully this one won't flop. It's Ubisoft though, so my expectations are really, really low.

Despite it's problems, I enjoyed Watch_Dogs... so if they improve on it, then the sequel will be pretty awesome I reckon.

I have a more favorable view of Watch_Dogs than most but not without some constructive criticisms(or more like suggestions)

I felt the 1st Watch Dogs had a good enough starting point, way better than the 1st Assassin's Creed in fact. Yeah there were things that could be adjusted, absolutely. They could definitely expand on the crime detection and not just make it a back alley attack, I definitely felt like they could expand on that much deeper. I thought the gang hideouts and criminal convoys were really good, but there should be a lethal/non-lethal choice in the case of criminal convoys as Watch Dogs is a pretty furtive game at its core. The street sweeper side missions in the DLC were great and should be implemented. Some character designs were good especially Aiden and that dope leather jacket but some needed to be scrapped, for example, the enforcer model and the hardhats - those designs just didn't fit. They didn't explore the morality system at all when it came to IDing people and hacking their accounts like they did in the e-book on amazon for example whenAiden hacked a meth dealer's account clean.

Which leads to the economic system, Aiden hid out in safehouse containers in the first one - so why not expand on that in a bigger way with more options other than going to sleep? That's another thing they explored more in the books as there was more variety than just the motel room and the containers. maybe safehouse purchases and more black market stuff to make the economic aspect more stimulating(something GTA5 did really well) And the bunker should've had more than just easter eggs. the ctOS HQs were good since you could go in lethal or just hack from the outside, so that was fine. Minus the motorcycles, there were lots of complaints about the driving and in that was the only real use for hacking traffic lights, and they can sure make that more strategic like causing a detour in criminal convoys maybe.

I liked the game alot to be honest and didn't have a problem with Aiden Pearce since he reminded me of Marlo Stanfield and Bill Belichick as far as personality, I understand it well enough. I think the second will be a knockout if they play it right, and I think they will... it's important that they do because there was a backlash from the last one. I'm sure we'll get a new character since it's a new city and setting, I'm on board

The amount of resemblances this game has with The Division is incredible. I mean, you put Tom Clancy on Watch Dog box and it could be mistaken as The Division prequel or some shit. This is even more true after i've spent over 4h in the beta.

If you were extremely disappointed with Watch Dogs and 'kinda' interested into The Division, please buy the game so you learn your lesson once and for all. Its funny how we all criticize Activision and their copy/paste job of CoD, the same series when Ubi shits us completely different titles/franchises that all look and feel the same way.

If it's as big of a jump over the first one as AC2 was over AC1, then I'm game. The difference here, though, is that conceptually, Assassin's Creed was at least something new. Watch Dogs doesn't have that going for it.

@charizard1605: I liked Watchdogs, though the story went a bit slow then rushed through to the end. I like the game as a whole though and I'm glad see see a second installment coming.

I really liked Watch_dogs. At times it did feel like a next gen experience. Graphics were amazing, though not what they originally promised. And the hacking was fun and showed potential.

But invisible walls in an open world game ? WTF Ubisoft ?! Srsly WTF ?

Also I just watched this video a while ago, and would recommend it to anyone, it's hilarious

@silversix_:

Ubisoft will be Ubisoft. There games are super repetitive.

Yet some how from their games they manage to spawn a new game. Playing the crew felt like I was driving in watch dogs again.

I played The Division beta and was bored after about 30 minutes of running around to kill the same enemies. I didn't even get to climb a tower.

that's because the tower climbing has evolved in 2016. That's right, TEH EVOLUTION. instead of searching for a tower to unveil 1 trillion dots on your map, in 2016, your radar acts like a mini tower. When you get close to 'dots', it is being unveiled and you can collect dat shiet. Incredible next gen feature.

Please hire people that know how to make open worlds feel alive. Game felt stale after 2 hours. Just having NPCs walking and talking doesn't make a living world.

I live in Chicago and it broke my heart to see such an incorrect and terrible version of my city in this game. Someone needs to do open world video game justice to Chicago. We deserve better!

Double edged sword for me Watch Dogs...

What Teeth said above, Watch Dogs had some great gameplay and gadgets, it was fun to play but boy.... oh boy was the writing trash! I literally had to start skipping the story stuff just to get back to the fun options the gameplay brought to the table.

Crap characters for the most part (especially the main one, just horrible), horrible story and bad dialogue. I did like the idea of the online aspect to, invading people was good fun. I wasn't expecting much from Watch Dogs but I ended up liking it in the end, mainly because of the gameplay. The graphics where not as good as they said, there was some bugs,etc.. but the gameplay sure was fun. Get some good writers and make the world have more things to do in it/more alive and part 2 could really be something special. For some reason though I have a feeling the writing won't improve much lol.

I will keep an eye on Watch Dogs 2 forsure, if Ubisoft learned from there mistakes and improve the characters, story and dialogue it could be a great game. Also add more to do around the game world to. First one was fun, but not quite great. One thing is forsure, it was alot better than the cr*p that AC has become after Black Flag (AC 2 and Black Flag, two good games out of how many?).

Ubisoft was in my bad books but Rainbow Six Siege I have been enjoying way more than I was expecting (so much better than the trash that was the previous 3 Rainbow games Lockdown, Vegas 1 and Vegas2) and I did like certain aspects of the first Watch Dogs, while hating other aspects such as the writing. Interested to see how that new Ghost Recon turns out to, interests me more than The Division so far.
