This single common Helghast grunt is made of 40k polys and 6x 2k texture maps, coupled with the new lighting engine it looks far better than the likes of Crysis 3, BF4 and Metro Last Light enemy characters. Plus you an have 60 of them on screen, KZSF is simply a graphics beast.

Also, why does the model in the first pic looks less detailed than the one in the second pic?

Model from the first pic looks like game res, you can see minor faceting.

2nd pic looks like the high res from Zbrush or Mudbox and rendered in keyshot.  I'm pretty sure I have that same HDR environment in my library, minus the blur effect.

I wouldn't drop my jaw until I see it running in real-time.

It's likely that it won't look that good. Running 60 of them on a console sounds like bullshit.

Seems like it, the second pic seems to be as good as it gets for that model, all the bells and whistles.

Try to read before reply, I said enemy unit, not a main character NPC. besides except the face, the rest of Psycho's model doens't look that impressive at all.

Gotta say Metro's model do look good, they're comparable to KZ's but since KZ can have 60 of them on screen, refer to GG's technical slides, I'd say KZ still wins.

I'm not a pixel counter or very tech savvy but it looks higher resolution.

Despite texture resolutions finally meeting the original Crysis's texture resolution. The textures don't feel like next gen, it's all last gen bump and normal mapping, faking wrinkles on shirt and shit. I hope they improve it in the final game.

GG released their KZSF's technical pdf, it has everything on the model, textures, lighting and ram usage.

To me, this sounds like you're heavily implying how it's possible to have 60 highly detailed enemies on screen at the same time. Now, your thread backfired, so it's time to start backpedalling. Keep it up, it's a fine show, I'm always up for a good laugh! :)

It's an fps, I'd hope you would have shot them or been shot before they got that close.

The lighting engine still sucks, no real time global illumination. It can't compete with Crysis 3 or Metro Last Light.

also I didn't get that, "oh my god this is crazy stuff" feeling when I wathced this like when I first saw Killzone 2, or even uncharted 2.   It's a next gen leap, but what they showed from the reveal hasn't blown me away just so far.  

Overall I am still more impressed by Metro LL on PC as of this moment.
