KZ2 Gameplay?

I will be the first to admit that yes, the Killzone 2 graphics look amazing, very clean and very realistick. Yet i see everyone comparing it to Gears of War which also looks stunning, but not as good as Killzone 2 i will admit that also. Yet one thing that people seem to ingnore is the gamplay. Now is it just me. Or does the KZ2 gameplay look really boring. Especially compared to Gears, KZ2 seems slow paced, terrilbe AI, and just in general not fun at all. Which is why i feel KZ2 will end up disapointing a lot of gamers out there.

Yet this is just my opinion! What is yours?

Gears of War has proven itself to be a quality game, Killzone hasnt.

Yea both games look amazing, but as you said K2 looks pretty linear and boring, while GEars has proven itself to have good gameplay.

Im more hyped for GEOW2

Gears isn't? I'm more hyped for Killzone 2 personally as the press reviews have said it plays like CoD4 with a few extra advancements and a more deliberate pacing.

I liked Call of Duty 4. Gears? Not so much.

I'm not sure, I rather have Gears because I like third person better then first person. But knowing epic I'm going take a wild assumption and say Killzone Single player > Gears single player. But from my preference Gears will have better gameplay over all because I prefer duck and cover for shooting games.

i dont know about the ai thing, but i know what your talking about, by looking at the videos the games looks f***ing badass, but the gameplay looks very linear. nothing i havent done before. nothing new. this game gives me that assasins creed feelin.

There is absolutely nothing you can judge from a very early demo of a training level. What do you think they're going to work on for the next year?

The AI part is COMPLETELY unjudgeable. Gears is undoubtedly using the same AI as the first game. Killzone 2 is building a new one, I bet. AI is extremely hard to build. If you have complaints about what it was like in the demos, that was nothing compared to what the real game will be like.
Slow paced? Maybe in a few areas(ALL FPSes are), but I doubt it will be all around. And especially not in multiplayer. 'Sides, if people want slow paced multiplayer, MGO.
In general not fun? Unjudgeable still. From the early tech demos it looked really fun.

And if you played GeoW at all, you'd know the multiplayer is pretty slow paced if you're good at it...
I loved its multiplayer, but it wasn't exactly the fastest. (Go play UT3 if you want fast multiplayer, I do.)

Hell, Gears 1 gameplay looked boring to me before I played it. Now it's one of my favorite games of all time.

My point is that games can look a certain way and play totally differently.

Pretty graphics and boring gameplay, just like the first.

We don't know that yet. We will have to wait and see. The shooting mechanics look visceral and satisfying IMO. It looks fun to shoot enemies in KZ2, but when I play it, it could be boring. I don't know. You never know until you play a game.

We just need more details on the game features and multiplayer. For the record it's been compared to COD4 as far as mechanics go.

killzone was decent and killzone psp good AA. Gears is made by epic so their chances of success was higher.
