[QUOTE="karasill"][QUOTE="EmperorSupreme"]It's $50 for us pc gamers ($45 if you pre-order)and I honestly think this game is better suited for the PC community. It plays better, looks better then the 360 version and it will get mods, extra levels, etc. I have logged in about 8-9 hours on just the demo, that's more then I've logged into some games so to call this a mod type game is really not giving the game the credit it deserves.I'm not making excuses for Valve. I think L4D is way too little for $60. Sounds more like an expensive mod pack than a real game. No wonder they are spending $10 million to hype it.

$45 sounds better, although still a lot for a limited experience. I don't know, I guess I just expected more from Valve as far as mission aspect of the game since I'm a big Halflife fan.
I see. But I don't get how you can say you'll get a limited experience. It took my friend and I 3 hours to beat the first 2 out of 20 levels on expert. Maybe you're just used to a cinematic experience like Half Life 2, and then when you found out that L4D is just a team based multiplayer shooter, you became disappointed. Think TF2, it only had 5 maps on launch, but people were playing the heck out of it and logging over 100-200 hours easy. L4D is much like that in terms that it's all about the multiplayer experience and replayability, but instead of 5 maps, L4D offers 20 levels that never play out the same. ;)[QUOTE="EmperorSupreme"][QUOTE="karasill"] It's $50 for us pc gamers ($45 if you pre-order)and I honestly think this game is better suited for the PC community. I should see what my friends are thinking about it, your right about TF2 that was a lot of fun with friends. I'll have to look into it further.
It looked interesting from what I've seen. but I'll have to wait till the demo comes to the PS3 to find out for myself.0rinGood luck with that, you might be waiting a while. Especially since a PS3 version has ont been announced and from what I have read there are currently no plans to make a PS3 version....

I get what you're trying to say, but you totally worded it wrong. Just say the "campaign is 2 hours", don't say "L4D is 2 hours of gameplay" that makes it sound like you're never going to touch it again after playing the campaign once.
Hmm, I played the demo 3 times, I believe and IMO it was getting a little boring by then, already.Cyberfairy

Yeah, there is plenty of content in L4D, even if there are only four scenarios. Plus, you can bet Valve will add in content post-release, as they tend to do. I wouldn't be to worried about the length.

from what I heard, they only care for the PC.
they promised l4d would be different. they even specifically apologized for tf2 on 360
Wait, wasn't the PS3 version the one they apologized for with its lack of DLC?

On normal, you can play through the campaigns in around 4 hours.
On higher difficulties, however, it'll take you a lot longer. But even if it is "short", Left 4 Dead is one of the funnest games I've played this year. It's amazing. Me and some friends were through No Mercy and Death Toll. I really liked the finale to Death Toll.
The demo came out on Nov 11, correct? I can't wait to DL it! Silver membership rarely bothers me, but Im really hyped for this game.Mr_Cumberdale
The demo ended today.
quite sure they didnt play L4D on insaneDante2710
[QUOTE="rcignoni"]The review clearly stated it wasn't a bad thing.
And if you'd played the demo, you should be able to tell that. I've put 15 hours into it.

yeah...but farmhouse finale rocks for vurses :D
same here....and thanks only 1.5 levels...
and no versus
though i does suck that you can only play versus on two campaigns
bummer only a 2hour game ?spike6566
its atleast 4 hours if you are on normal and go fast
Â
expert is a good 8+ hours
judging from the demo it's going to be much longer than 2 hours when played on the higher difficulties (the only way to play a zombie game imo)
plus versus mode, plus some of the best replayability ever, plus the ability for pc games to get mods = tons of playtime for me once I get the game
Sure it could be 2 hours of gameplay but its 2 hours of zombie killing gaming bliss like no other.

2 hour games should not cost full price regardless of quality. Quality and quantity are BOTH important.

except for the fact that its double that onthe easy settings where its a cakewalk, and tons of replayability. not to mention vurses
