LBP=lagfest

this is seriously bull****. every single time the HDD access indicator is on the screen the game hangs up...BAD, i mean i almost reset the ps3 NUMEROUS times because i had thaught the game was frozen. its pathetic. even just trying to scroll through the offline levels. i press left and maybe go make some dinner, drop a deuce, read a book and watch a tv show in another room then finally im there...but oh wait i still gotta scroll through more levels. soooo, press up, take a nap, go to work, come back and try to start the level...oh god help you. and the sad thing is i haven't even went online yet. no online co-op, no play others creations. just single player story mode.

and cows dont come in here ranting that its not happening to you. the LBP boards are full of people having the same problems. good thing fallout is here tomorrow. i guess ill be playing that till LBP is patched.

60 gig launch ps3. how do i log off the servers???the game is seriously unplayable in its current state. and to the guy who said that he's not having the lag issues...your a cow, plain and simple. theres problems with the servers causing EVERYONES game to lag like this.

as for posting elsewhere. i just wanted to feed the lemming. i figured it'd turn out funny

I also have a launch 60gb PS3. I just disconnect the ethernet cable. I think this also happened with a couple other games like GTA IV if memory serves me right.

People are having issues across the net, so yeah... it's a problem that's larger than just the TC. It's widespread.

with GTA the game would hang up at the initial loading screen. ugh i was hoping there was a different way. i like talking to people thru XMB while i play games.

The only thing I would try is deleting and reinstalling that required data and also trying to clean out the cookies and what not in the web browser. I have not tried this so don't hate me if it doesn't work.

Yeah, I had an issue earlier today, it was LA-GG-Y...so I QUIT GAME, and rebooted. I got lucky, because now I'm back to no issues.

Let's hope they can iron this out in the coming week.

Here's an idea. Why don't all of you, go play the single player levels, collect more things, and build a level. I'm building a sweet Aztec themed level with 3 different Aztec tombs to visit and make through. I'm not quite done the first tomb and I started about 3 hours ago. Once the LBP servers come back up, (if I'm finished the level, FALLOUT 3 IS COMING TOMORROW!!!!!!....ahem), I'll publish the level. The first tomb is looking sweet, but I have to add so much to it so it will be fun and enjoyable. LBP is an awesome game, but if you want to make a great level, be prepared for some long hours. dream431ca

heres what i think the problem is. when you select play single player only the game logs off the servers so people cant connect to you. but when you go back to the main area again it has to sign back in. that would be whats causing the horrible lag there. the levels play through fine but trying to go from one level to another seriously takes about 10 minutesenygma500

Well for one the servers are under maintance by MM so of course its going to be a lagfest.MM already said the lag should be gone in afew days.

Yup.

Paying didn't help Halo from having issues. Paying didn't help LIVE from being down a whole week last year around Christmas. You couldn't play any games on X360. Some people couldn't even play their download games they bought.

It's not a PSN issue it's a first day the servers are up for LBP issue.

Probabley the same Halo 3,Cod4,Gears,and lbp has...It happens to Xbox360 games on launch too.Not to mention Halo 3 still can get laggy even to this date.

The game says explicitly not to turn off your system when the HDD access indicator is flashing. It could corrupt your data or screw up your hard drive.

That MIGHT be what's wrong.

Also remember XBL has five times more people Online then PSN.
