Day Light Levels + New Special Zombies + 5 New Levels + More Advanced AI Directior + New Weapons. And Valve said more DLC is on the way.

Why the hell should I be appalled by L4D2? L4D 1 has more replay value then most of the games this generation, and L4D2 looks to be even bigger then the first game.

THANK GOODNESS he mentioned interconnectivity. That was really the only problem I had with LFD2, I was afraid it would split the fanbase population and make it harder to find a game. Also, I like the first one's maps and characters so much I'm glad LFD2 will "run in unison" I guess you could say.

I hate the way the game looks. I know everyone hates dark, gritty environments but it actually fit Left 4 Dead. Also, unless they do some serious tweaking, I don't see how using Special Infected in Versus is going to work. There's not many places a smoker can hide in Left 4 Dead to begin with, atleastI don't think so because you can hear them and they have some green s*** surrounding them so they're easy to spot.

Valve did say they wouldn't stop supporting L4D which is good, because I wasn't planning on getting L4D2 because of the settings and there's absolutely no character that I would want to use. Zoey > Rochelle

Based on their history I'm willing to give Valve the benefit of the doubt that they were planning to do this all along, but maybe this gathering of nerd-rage gave them reason to announce it now instead of later.

So then why do developers even bother making new games? Why not just make everything in DLC?

Oh and as for your serious gamers statement. A serious gamer is one who plays Half Life? Because I'm a serious gamer but I don't care about Half Life, it just doesn't interest me. A good game is a good game, maybe you shouldn't have been expecting an Episode 3? I just noticed the only people crying about this are the ones who believed the rumors of Episode 3 being announced at E3.

they never said anything about additional campaigns or weapon, which I magine is what the players are po'd about. not to mention they're still splitting the community in half by relesaing a new game. all the arguements the nerds posted are stilll valid. just now they know they're getting a couple of patches the game needed.

It does have a lack of content.

But I got mine for free so maybe that's why it doesn't bother me as much. It is a good game though and I kind of like Versus mode, it's different in a good way. It's not like every other game where you put two rivals against eachother in different gametypes like CTF, King of the Hill, Deathmatch. My only complaint about it is that Survivors always get 4 people, even if there's only one human player, but on the infected side, there are no special infected aside from human players..well now that I think about it Versus is kind of flawed, but its still pretty fun.

Even though Valve say they will continue to support L4D 1, that doesn't mean they're going to add any of the new features from L4D 2 (like using melee weapons for example.)

L4D 2 will have all the updates that the fans really want... and the only way to get them... buy a whole new game.
