Those are all 3 completely different dev teams and MGS4 is said to be one of the most visually impressive games of this generation by everyone who actually played it so you have no clue what your talking about.

Right so you hated all the last gen Silent Hills and other horror games then? Seriously some people need to realise that there have been the same games as now on previous gen consoles, and they worked just as well without shiny-vision.

Ninja Gaiden is a survival horror game, by that standard, since you're surviving a horde of demons and monsters in hostile environments.

Resident Evil 4 was hardly a survival horror game, and Resident Evil 5 seems to be following that same path. Instead, it will be a top-notch third-person shooter with horror elements. But the heavy emphasis on combat disqualifies it from being survival horror, in a sense.

Ninja Gaiden is a survival horror game, by that standard, since you're surviving a horde of demons and monsters in hostile environments.

I would say the new RE's are more just survival, they still have that aspect, being left in an area on your own, having to look around for supplies. The horror aspect is pretty much gone though.
