This game has been caught up in development hell for a long time. The game looks like a chaotic mess. I think it might be worth checking out just to see the ridiculous overdramatic cutscenes.
Lair to me doesn't look like it used too. It used to look good... Around E306. Then after that, the game just looks bad.
I never seen so much pre-animation in a game for a long time. It is all set and not interactive. Best way I can describe this is... You know death scenes, how they used to be scripted before all this neat rag-doll stuff came along? Well, this is what that game is using. Scripted animation. There is no physics that I have seen in this game. Let alone very little A.I.
And on top of that. The graphics look worse and the game-play repetitive.
Slow down some of the video's... Everything reacts in the same fashion. Best way to see what I mean, is the dragon vs. soldiers videos. You'll see...
I dont find this game impressive at all. I think the framerate is sketchy, the gameplay looks half as good as what it could be (I mean, the dragon lands, burns up a bunch of soldiers that stand like scarecrows, and trots around hitting them unmolested).
And the 'cool' move where you jump off your dragon and knock someone else off and go back to your dragon will get old and overused in minutes.
jelouse of lair? heck if i was a cow i would be claiming it was a 360 game that got mislabeled and sold for the ps3 by mistake. it is so bad i'm starting to feel sorry for the cows. sure i still laugh at them, but a feel bad about laughing. if it wasn't for krazy kens mouth and cows repeating his spew so much i probably wouldn't even be able to laugh or enjoy the floppage at all.
Yes the game LOOKS good but it plays bad,I will be the first to tell you that I got OWNDED by this game I was really hyping it, it looked good and it seemed like the game for me, but the controls suck thus making the gameplay bad and its also the rason it got a 4.5 here on GS, it not jealously its just sadly this game is bad :(

Yeah, I'm real jealous of that 4.5! Why oh why am I stuck with 3 GOTY contenders instead of a craptastic flop like Lair! Where's the luck? Never any luck. :lol:
