To be honest? Black Ops 2. Of course they have had enough practice. It is the smoothest shooter out. Period.
Funny people are saying Dishonored. The game is good no doubt but the stealth is awful. It is like Sly Cooper but a hell of a lot more broken.

Blops II has poor enough gameplay. The guns are terribly balanced and once you get a scorpion you can slap a few attachments on and hip fire like a damn laser beam. Though the pick any 10 mechanic was good
Bioshock is an FPS with Role Playing elements, which is basicly an RPG..[QUOTE="Lulekani"][QUOTE="seanmcloughlin"]
Did you just say Bioshock was an RPG?Â
And Dark Souls has very good and tight gameplay. It's not overly complex combat wise, but that would defeat the games overall design I think and wouldn't make it any better
seanmcloughlin
Start of the sentence was spot on, the end of it, was not
That's like saying Far Cry 3 is an RPG because it has slight RPG elements
Stupid as it may seem, that is PRECISELY what I'm saying. In my lexicon the definition for what an RPG is, is actualy quite simple. Redundant Character Progession. If any game I play even hints at making a character/car/weapon/device simply stronger or faster then I slap the RPG Label on it. Like Bioshock Infinite and increasing the damage on many of the weapons or the Need 4 Speed games where one can increase their odds of winning by upgrading the car instead of optimizing its performance and tweaking its settings to suit ones style or simply stepping up their game. I didn't get into games for cheap victories, I earn my bragging rights.Hmmm, well I'm playing Minecraft this second, so there's that.
Prior to Minecraft I was playing custom stories in Amnesia which were pretty amazing as well.
It was extremely satisfying that's for sure. So much so that I can't enjoy the gunplay of max payne 1 and 2 nowÂ
Also animations had a huge chunk to do with the feeling of gunplay for me.Â
seanmcloughlin
Absolutely.
They had transition animations for their animations.
And transition animations for their transisition animations.
Honestly, MP3 has the best animations to date. In true SW fasion, I declare the game: ANIMATION KING! :P
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 was just insane. Why is no other game company trying to copy Activision's amazing game style?

AND SO IT SHALL BE !!!
Played the fvck out of Warframe this last week and it easily has the best TPS gameplay ever. Think Vanquish meets Ninja Gaiden plus biotics from Mass Effect. BPoole96
WHAT?? Warframe? That game is terrible :?

I know it is cool for so called hardcore gamers to hate on Call of Duty but the engine they built has made that game butter. It is easily the smoothest engine out on consoles. Battlefield feels clunky, Halo feels slow, and the PS3 exclusive shooters feel generic compared to it. The games may only be average, but the gameplay has been nailed perfectly.[QUOTE="trollhunter2"][QUOTE="majadamus"] Not sure if serious. timbers_WSU

They really have no idea what financial harm having many different types of games will have on the industry.

Well, you are one of the better trolls to show up lately. I will give you that.Tomb Raider probably, I really enjoyed the combat though I suppose the platforming etc wasn't mind blowing. Last game where I enjoyed every single aspect of the gameplay was Dishonored or DMC
Probably Persona 4 (only just played this recently). As far as a JRPG goes, I don't think I've ever enjoyed one quite so much. Some stuff was pretty stock standard but everything came together so well making the gameplay awesome.
Hell no. Blocking sux and you have to pause the action in order to switch weapons eliminating creating combos. DMC's gameplay kills it.Metal Gear Rising.

[QUOTE="Frostbite24"]That game is amazing. So underrated. I give people with good taste in games handjobs for free. I'm available next Thursday if that would work for you. :P....or am I? Nah I am :)....:|FTL: Faster Than Light

Well...what do you mean "truly amazing gameplay?" I mean, are we talking a game that we had the most fun with or what because I could say TESIV: Oblivion has truly amazing gameplay for how much fun I've had in it and have played around in the world as well.
I mean, I won't for fear of being bludgeoned, stripped naked, tied to a cross, and burned to death for my sins.
The latest new game I played was BS:I, which I thought had amazing gameplay. If you mixed it up and stayed on the move as much as possible it was a blast to play. Some people claimed they only used one or two vigors the entire time and just stayed behind a box to regenerate shield. Their loss, I had a great time :D!

The game with the overall best gameplay ever is Arkham City imo. Everything feels just right to do. There is an incredible attention to detail. For example when you grapple to a ledge there are four different ways to do that. Both combat and stealth are world class as long as you play with the game (aka actively try to play varied, smooth and fast). Cape gliding and physics puzzles are both very good. The autotargeting system for quickfire gadgets is brilliant. No other game does so much so incredibly well imo.

That's because the engine is like, what, 12 years old? It better be 60 fps on consoles.Mechanically= Ninja Gaiden 2 game f*cking rapes. But it has some serious balance issues, encounter design misfires, and some noteworthy boss fights that are a pain in the ass. But that combat is sublime.
Overall= Resident Evil 4 when I replayed it last year. Game is still Godly.
Both of the game's I've been playing recently have rock solid gameplay, Shootmania Storm and the Company of Heroes 2 beta.Â
Tomb Raider also had very solid mechanics.Â

Well, you are one of the better trolls to show up lately. I will give you that. Have you actualy looked into why COD sells alot ? I have, jaded as those idiots may be, they have point. A serious point. Regardless of how much I enjoyed Bioshock Infinite, any game that sells like COD is a force to be reckoned with.I played ALOT of games recently and they were all wonderful.. to name a few Assassins creed games and Ni No Kuni

I'd have to disagree, I've put in like 30 hours in the past 2 weeks. Once you level up your suits and weapons it gets a lot more fun and the later planets can get really challenging. Please Log In to post.
