MGS3 graphics = win.

What about SH3? maybe is not the best, but it still has some nice visuals, really nice, among the best if you ask me.

What about F.E.A.R , okami and metroid echoes.

RE4 and Metroid Prime. shadow of the colossus was good too.

Riddick holds up really well. From a simple graphics stand point, it mostlikely is one of the best looking games last gen, if not the best.

From an art standpoint, I really liked Shadow of Colossus.

Am I the only one who thinks those graphics are horrible (just look at the horse). From what I played last gen, Chaos Theory was the best. The Windwaker game just reminded me too much of a cartoon.

• LOZ: The Windwaker
• Rogue Squadron 2 and 3
• Ninja Gaiden Black
• LOZ: Twilight Princess
• Resident Evil 4
• Baten Kaitos (I think graphics wise it's underrated)
• Halo 1 and 2
• Okami

Okami had the best art. Silent hill 3 also had awesome charachter models.

But overall nothing could beat Doom 3

Your talking about my blog? well, i only put characters that i know, so, sorry :P, i really want to watch Code Geass, but i haven't had time, and Inuyasha, well, i never could get into it, and i also want to watch Ghost in the Sell, but again, i haven't had the chance.

Halo 2 looked pretty damn good for a console game.

Splinter Cell CT

Kind of suprised no-one has mentioned Dead or Alive Ultimate (or 3) yet. I mean this game looked so good that it made its next gen version look like a last gen game. However it was that this looked sooo good that it would have been counted as next gen visually.

Doom3 on Xbox looked pretty awesome.

not bad considering the Xbox had a Pentium/Celeron hybrid 733Mhz CPU

only 64 MB RAM & the NV2A 233mhz GPU was a modified Geforce 3 (with some Geforce4 features but nowhere near the same bandwidth)

how on earth did they get it to run on Xbox????

Last gen's graphis were great, this gen's graphics are and advancement of last gen's graphics... in a way I guess :|

I think towards the end of last gen, we reached the point where games dont look bad anymore. I mean even in a few more generations, if i look back and see wind waker, dead or alive, ngb or half life 2, il still think they look good.

Twilight Princess and Resident Evil 4 had amazing graphics and come to mind.

But to me the Last Gen graphics king was: Conker: Live and Reloaded. That game looked absolutely gorgeous.

splinter cell chaos theory easily wins, i cant play last gen games now due to ugly graphics but chaos theory, man i dont think id find that game to be old and ugly even 20 years from now.

Res4. Has better graphics on the Gamecube than most Wii games and a handful of PS3 and Xbox 360 games.

Yeah that blew me the crap away, even now, I still appreciate it, it definately pushed the Xbox, there were almost some chugs at some point in the frame rate.

I was playing Ninja Gaiden Black BC on my 360 and my mom and sister walked by asking what game it was. They said the graphics looked great lol. I told them it was an old xbox game and they couldn't believe it. Mind you, they're casuals but still.

Ps2 fans please step down. Riddick, Ninja Gaiden, DOA all take top spots on console last gen. PS2 was no graphical powerhouse... see RE4 on GC vs. ps2.

Primal and Ghosthunter were also graphically marveliscious on PS2. I suggest any PS2 or B/C interested PS3 owners get these cheap,as they were criminally overlooked, but 2 of the best looking PS2 games last gen.

I'd go with Resident Evil 4. That game pushed the GC and PS2's to it's limits. CleanPlayer

A dead heat between Okami (PS2) and RE4 (GC) IMO.

I would have to say Panzer Dragoon Orta is among the top 5 graphical masterpieces of last gen.
